Amber is gorgeous! I'm a lover of her patina just the way it is. That's her character, her life!

Love the stiff in the back! Always strange seeing old relics when I saw them brand new. Old caddies were quite a (large) ride. Wonderful cruisers!

I share your love for early 50's Cadillacs. I can't wait to see your 58 Fleetwood and am following your progress on the 52.

Lucky for you the cracked glass is the flat glass. There's hope. You're a patient man, and not getting overwhelmed is the first best step. Thank you for sharing. I had a '59 Coupe DeVille when I worked at Apple. White. And I had a good friend with a '73 Miller Meteor ambulance. I miss him. And that amazing car.

I really love this car! It has a history to tell. Including heavy hail it went through. Amazing that this super heavy duty hood could get dented like that. Maybe the cracked glass on top of the right quarter panel got damaged by hail as well. It would be a shame to over restore this vehicle. The history of it would be lost. IT is always a dilemma: What do I fix what do I let the way it was? Luckily budget restrictions prevent us from being over the top perfectionists.

The Federal Director is a PA15A series 1E. That version was introduced in the early 1970s.

I remember some funeral homes that had multiple cars having both dedicated hearses and ambulances rather than using combinations whereas others with smaller fleets had the combination for dual use and removable red lights, etc. Hope you’re able to finish as evidently the 57 58 seem to be rare for some reason.

I also love the 57, but they seem very rare; seem to be more 58s out there

Nice vehicle I've no use for a patina that makes a vehicle look like it's been sitting around in a farm field for 10 decades I would paint the thing and make it look like it should brand new

@@Cadillac_Coach_Works you have to spend money to make money
@Cadillac_Coach_Works10 ай бұрын
@davidg813 that's money I don't need to spend. I get a ton of compliments the way she is. Why do something that will erase the last original painted 58 m-m? I understand fake patina which is stupid. Do you understand how much work it would be to prep this car for paint? 500lbs of old cracked lead would need to come off. So your statement is wrong on this one. You'd NEVER get your money back.
