The biggest reason the transmissions had problems was because people were using the wrong transmission fluid in them. I have had eight Chrysler minivans that have served me well. I have two on the road now, a 2012 T&C and a 1999 Caravan. I got the 99 for free because the owners were told the transmission was shot. I changed the fluid and filter then drove it home 100 miles and it shifted fine. That was six years ago and it's still shifting fine.

i'm just watching the TOM CRUISE'S movie "War of Worlds" and he drives a CHRYSLER or a PLYMOUTH VOYAGER... and i see that has the THIRD ROW ROLLING DOWN WINDOWS ... ¿¿ does the CARAVAN or the VOYAGER comes with that feature ???? ¿¿¿ or is just a movie made tune minivan ??? or did you know if it's possible to make that conversion ???

I remember going to and from LCDC back in 1991-93 in Dodge Caravans exactly like this one, except they were white with red interior which meant that they had a scary buzzer in place of the chime one of them I rode in was a 1991 Dodge Caravan which the driver would start without his seatbelt on all the time and buzzer in that one was downright scary, his 1992 Dodge Caravan used the exact same buzzer sound as well which was taken from a 1989 Dodge Ram D100.

The 1st gen antilock braking system was notorious for failing. You'd have to stand on the brake pedal to get it to stop, if the ABS failed.

Bendix ABS, sucks. That's why the brakes are hard....there is no conventional brake booster. Good luck fixing that...
