For those that don't know the music, it is the famous Rondo alla Turca, "Turkish March", a movement from Piano Sonata no.11 KV331 by Mozart, which this piece is now 240+ years old. Yet a lot of us are familiar with it still in 2024 even if they don't know what it is exactly because the melody has turned up in pop culture every now & then. And the thing is Alip is no doubt replicating this by ear only, as he done with practically all his other covers & originals. That makes his guitar-playing a god-given talent. I would like to see him tackle some Scarlatti from the Western Classical age as well. I wonder if he can also tackle/adapt some Eastern Classical too, like sitar pieces from ancient India and/or Ravi Shankar, or ancient China, etc. If not, that's ok. Anyway, good find & good reaction LBS. 09/27/24
