Bingo! Seems to be a lot of that going on these day's to unfortunately. Especially with the left. I can remember when people were still able to communicate and agree to disagree with politics and stuff and still sit down at the end of the day while having a beer or with family at dinner and still be friends etc. People have gotten too sensitive and entitled.

Appreciate your service and sacrifice brother. Your words remind me of the talks I had when I was young with my step-dad and my uncle. They both served in WWII. Dad loved his time there, Uncle Joe didn't hate it, but didn't like it either. Always said he wasn't there to like it or hate it. Just to do his American duty. Thank you for all you've done, and all you share.

Yeah man I was at Tallil AB/Camp Adder in 06 and looking back all I or anyone else had was a small point a and shoot digital camera that could shoot like a minute or two of footage at 360p resolution... I wish we had better cameras with us because there's so much just lost to memory now and whatever pictures made it out with me on the memory card. The sand storms killed my camera halfway through my first deployment so there wasn't a whole lot captured. I agree with you though, those were much simpler times... eat, sleep some, workout, patrol, and avoid getting shot or blown up! Our country wasn't divided then like it is now either.. there was still some national pride and support. Now if you use the word pride... it only has one meaning... Hope to get to meet you some day man, until then keep up the great content!

Yeah I’m a 21 year veteran law enforcement officer.. when I came on the job flip phones and the “chirp” phones came out. For many years it wasn’t “cool” taking pics and videos.. even now I kinda cringe at cops posting pics of themselves online and taking video. 240 is organic to an Infantry Platoon, M2s not so much*. Many Ma Deuce were left in country to be picked up by follow-on units but this was luck of the draw. *there are exceptions to this: mounted platoons, scout units, heavy configed units... basically if they have vehicles as part of their 'roster'. Believe it or not the M2 is a bit of a pain to work with as training on the gun and proper procedures need to be followed or ,well, Ma can hurt somebody unintentionally. edit: removal of inadvertent bolding.
