Paul Revere - Beastie Boys (Mix Master Mike) inspired by this at the beginning? Flash was so far ahead of his time it was crazy. People still catching up... Dude literally just had turntables. Created something that wasn't there before.

Flash defied the technology at that time with his speed and precision. Back then, turntables were extremely delicate. I looked up to this man above any celebrity during that era, in any genre, whether it be sports, entertainment, or politics. I'm not sure that I have ever observed someone gain legendary status within their industry as quickly as Flash...and oh, by the way, Cowboy was real slick on his turn (ya', that's what we called it back then, "my turn")...R.I.P. brother.

Great comment bro. Same here. Besides Michael Jackson Flash was my greatest inspiration as a teenager on the streets of NYC in the 70s. It's legitimate to say Flash created the blueprint for hip hop and despite what others say Flash was the originator with no contemporaries for a while.
