I found a grey Gao Ape from Robo Toy Fest at Anime Expo! (From Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger 百獣戦隊ガオレンジャ. This never appeared in the Power Rangers Wild Force show or toy line)

That's right! Bad job Bandai of America. It seems to me the release of the Ultimus and Isis Megazords were extremely limited. I never found any in stores when they were out. They were even more rare than the legacy morpher. I think they need to do a rerelease for the WF zord line

The 4 inch Metallic figures are available (and easy to find) at Toys R Us & Walmart, as well as CVS. The Target near me has had nothing lately, but maybe at better Targets too.

Gah... that's not what I said. :-p I was saying in Dino Thunder, the Zord they didn't release in the US formed an arm, which is even worse than a Zord that forms a sword & shield (even though I loved the Elephant).

Of course! When the molds are identical, that means everything works together. It wasn't until Overdrive in 2007 that we started seeing new molds. Prior to that, everything came over from Japan.

That sounds like a knockoff or custom. I've never seen or heard of those. I do have a page of variants in my Super Sentai toy book, which includes various colors for the lion, gorilla, the panda zord, etc... but the ones you're naming are a first for me.

I'm not sure there's any real trick to it, you just have to find a seller who is willing to sell it cheaply, despite the line typically selling for $$$. Try eBay, FB groups, cons, Japanese online stores that sell used items, etc.

Just wondering(and you dont have to answer) what did you pay for this. It is incredibly rare. As far as I can tell it was either a mail-in figure like the panda or a prize toy like the lion variants. Most likely mail-in though.
