RARE HUMMINGBIRDS on the Venezuela Colombia Border

Rare Hummingbird Search: We headed to the Colombia/Venezuela border via Finca Alejandria and La Florida in search of rare hummingbirds of the Perija Mountains. We found the both the male and female Perija Metaltail, a hummingbird found in a very small area along the border. This bird cannot be seen feeding at feeders, and you would be lucky to even see it feeding at flowers.
