How long to leave vinegar on before rinsing?

@@HummingbirdSpot Thanks. One more question: I've soaked the tops in vinegar for a couple days, but some black specks remain. I assume the spores are dead, but is there a best way to clean them?

That raft was something!! I always knew that you were intrepid to a fault, Carole, but sheesh. You got your birds though, and I'm so glad to hear that Omar is trying to save them; I pray that he succeeds. They are little beauties, and this mad old world needs them!

I would like to make a donation to help support the rescue effort to help save these beautiful species of hummingbirds. Is there a way I could make if possible?

Anne, the best think I can tell you to do is to donate it to the American Bird Conservancy. They are very active and instrumental in the protection of all endangered species of birds. The other way is to become a member of the International Hummingbird Society. They have many fundraisers and do many donations to endangered hummingbirds. To donate to this bird in particular, I am not sure how. You can contact Omar on Facebook.
