Such a invaluable treasure. He was the one of the greatest legends of those times. He was most respected Artist of his time. What a wonderful Sur and Gayaki he possessed at the age of 83 years. My birth year is 1961 and I always feel that I should have born 40 years ago since our tradition couldn't listen to these Golden times Artists. But extremely grateful to you sir for sharing such wonderful and rare recordings which are All time great 🙏🏼

What a great treasure. I am totally stunned by the Gayeki of my Nana and Nana Guru Ustad Mushtaq Husain Khan. At 83 he was such energetic and open to Gaayeki. He used all difficult Taals which are hardly heard nowadays. Ada Chautal was a highlight of his performance. Very rare gem. Thanks for sharing. He was pillar of Rampur Sahaswan Gharana.

He says right at the beginning that he was 83 during this interview. That would put the recording at 1961. Such a friendly person and willing participant, unlike so many others (Rasoolan, etc. come to mind). The aaDa-chautaal Tilang Thumri-numa bandish is such a rarity to hear. Thanks for your generous shares once again.
