The greatest incarnation of one of the greatest bands of all time. When Jefferson Starship was riding high, the world was a great place to be in. Marty Balin, Grace Slick, Paul Kantner, Pete Sears, David Frieberg, Craig Chaquico, and John Barbata. Perfect band. Thanks for your perfect music. I wish I could go back to the 70s.

To be fair, these folks used whatever technical shmear du jour was available for each album as they tried to keep getting songs on the radio. That's why this 'unplugged' vid is so refreshing.
@dustykeele6 жыл бұрын
The point is, these folks had to have actual TALENT to get anywhere. Today's so-called artists have techno tools to cover for their lack of vocal chops.

Starship got real lovey dovey in the 70s
@dinopharis28765 жыл бұрын
@@bigpaulie806 almost all rock bands had love songs. It's called diversity. Today the only love songs are sung by children who were on Barney and former Disney stars who grew up in studios and need no talent they just do voice overs. Aerosmith did a few love songs even Ozzy Osbourne came close to a love song LOL. I don't know about lovey dovey but this song is Kick-Ass

God I feel old. I thought I recognised this and yes at the end there it was. Recorded for The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1978 and I watched that programme and remember this track burnt into my memory ever since. I believe they also did Miracles on the same programme. They supported Genesis at Knebworth that year and I was there to see them perform. What a fantastic time to be alive and into music. I remember those days with a fondness but also a sadness that they will never come back and must remain memories.

I was at Knebworth too. For Genesis really but I had the Earth album from Jefferson Starship so was looking forward to seeing them. Shame Grace Slick didn't get to the gig after "problems" in Germany the previous night. Tom Petty was there too and Devo got a load of stuff thrown at them. Not really the right band to be on that bill. Great times back then. When your dad and grandad didn't want to see the same stuff as you ...
