I was raised on a cash crop farm by Bad Axe Michigan. In the spring of 1972 my father bought a brand new1972 4020 from Gettel Equipment in Bad Axe. In 1973 crop prices were good so in December dad decided to buy another new tractor. By then new tractors were hard to find. Dad found a demod 4230 at Sloan Implement in Assumtion Illinois. Sloan's shipped it 600 miles to are farm for the whooping amount of $150 dollars.

@PaulHigginbothamSr3 жыл бұрын
The 8020 would be the perfect addition to the Chris stable. Would probably need the engine and drive train refreshed. Which would have made it really a good buy from the farmer who'd sold it to these people because with an aircon heater cab with a refreshed dash and cab kit to make it like a new tractor would cost as much as one of those R's. But it would pull like a banshee sucking fuel at a rate that would be shocking compared to a 7520 owner.
