I actually love all of the Kennedy Half Dollar’s. I guess maybe because I was just a lad when he was killed. And it affected me. He was a hero to me. But I am totally amazed of all the half dollars that were made. And all of the errors that are found on them. One could spend a life time collecting them. I’m just happy that I have a few of them. Hopefully more one day soon.

I collect NIFCs as well as silver (of course) and started keeping the nicer coins out of rolls, though I haven't gone through rolls in forever. Don't have a book or anything, but just keep them in medicine vials with paper between each coin. Silver/special coins I keep each in it's own envelope, labeled, and kept in an empty penny box.

Great info... I have 4 Kennedy 1/2's that I just bought as 40% silver coins(67-69) but they weigh less than what you have posted....all four are fine/very fine in condition...they are from 11.1 g to 11.8 g....

I got occasionally some Kennedy half dollars from my bank,and used them to toss into the pool in town,so I could dive down and get them.....so they gave me a 1968,1972,1973,1974,and another 1974. I have not looked for mint marks,bc I have glaucoma in my 1 remaining eye. I did recently purchased 2 proof Kennedy half dollars,dated 1970.And I do purchase American Silver Eagles also.

I thought I had commented back when this first aired. Enjoy your i/2 dollar coin roll hunts. I do have a couple of questions. When I was coin roll hunting I ran across 2 1972 halves that weighed 11.5g. I also came across a 1998 half that weighed just 10.2 grams. It's definitely thinner than a normal 1/2 dollar. I would deeply appreciate your thoughts on these coins. Thank You
