Rare Messiaen - Thème d’Amour from Messiaen's Tristan et Isult.
A holograph written in the program booklet for the first night at the Theatre of Edouard VII, 22 February 1945.
This theme was to be developed extensively in the Turangalilia symphony, as well as several of Messiaen's other works.
This recording presents this little gem twice, with differing registration, as suggested by Messiaen.
