For the command block, it was probably /blockdata ~ ~ ~ {conditional; true}

Heres a rare command that is actually rare and most people don’t know about, it can work in a command block also, /execute @e[type=snowball] ~~~ summon tnt That will make a snow ball summon tnt, Just type in what you want after the equals that is entity related to the game and it will work

You can also set the effect time in /effect to 0 to get rid of a specific effect. You can also put L after the number in the /xp command to get that many levels. You can also put ! in front of the entity types in commands SUCH AS /kill, and it will do the command to everything BUT that entity.

Some things to clarify that you missed: Any time selectors are used, any can be used. This includes @p for the nearest player, @r for a random player, @a for all players, @e for all entities (adding [type=___] to specify one or [type=!___] to remove one), or the player's name, like Logdotzip. So unless done by a command block, @p and [insert your username] would both give to you For /blockdata, I believe what you needed to put was /blockdata x y z {powered:true}. I am not great with data tags though, so that might not be the proper name for the state Also, if you learn data tags, you can specifically give a diamond sword with Sharpness V instead of giving a diamond sword then enchanting it, essentially combining both steps. This can also be done when summoning mobs to do things like summon a tamed wolf, or a baby zombie wearing enchanted diamond armour, or summon an invisible skeleton horse that is trapped to trigger the horsemen event, or summon a massive inverted Wither Finally, when using setblock or fill, you can choose how the replaced blocks are handled (broken to make chests drop their items or simply removed to make it vanish, for example) and you can specify what blocks to replace so you don't remove the wrong thing (so for the water you removed, you could have done /fill ~30 ~ ~30 ~-30 ~30 ~-30 air 0 replace water to replace all water in a 60x60x30 box around you, clearing all of the water at once without damaging the map). You can only fill a limited amount at once, but if the selected range is too large it can still work if few enough blocks are actually affected

For the blockdata command it was expecting you to put a condition for the block (powered) and then a colen and then true/false. I think it would have been /blockdata 4 8 4 {powered:true} or something like that??

12:04 Note for n00bs. Test this not on areas you spent months working on. You don't want to accidently delete an entire area of your build without having practiced the command first. Logdotzip is not responsible for any accidental deletions. I have heard of an undo command, but I personally don't remember it.

15:00 As someone who knows what to do to find out what tag it is, I'm screaming in agony. Any command dabbler would know that to see the entire data of a block, just try setting its data to {} and you will get a list of all of its data tags. I'm pretty sure you'd set either Active or Powered to 1b

You have to do flowing_water to make it flow or cause a block update to a normal water to make it flow. And also use /give @p minecraft:diamond_sword 1 0 {ench:[{id:16,lvl:5}]} so you don’t have to press / again
