Rare Penny Found - Roll Hunting New York Penny Boxes In this video, I will be roll hunting two boxes of pennies (both from New York State) with one being a customer wrapped rolls box and one being a bank wrapped rolls box, hoping to find valuable pennies... I will be looking for old Wheat Pennies, pennies from the 60's and 70's, any Indian Head Pennies, and of course any errors and varieties we may find (especially ones minted in Philadelphia). I want to thank @The NYS Lotto Scratcher for sending me the boxes in trade! Let's see what goodies I get! Keep hunting and good luck! They're still out there for us to find! Once I was at a party I briefly saw 5 wheaties on the surface of someones change bowl. So I quickly asked for permission to look through and pay them twice face and they were totally fine. I found like 35 wheaties from 1913-1958!!! So awesome

Yes I am in upstate NY and I routinely get at least that number of Canadians. Kg canadians are also found here fairly often. I also get at least 12 to 18 wheats per box typically. Found a 1911 S last year! NY boxes are good!

zinc isn't trading at $3./pound. when gov does away with the penny it wont be illegal to melt pennies down for the copper thats why he saves the coppers dont forget rob has a furnace he can melt them down in. i know a guy with over 100 home depot 5 gal buckets full of pennies for melting when this happens.

that’s really great. wish i could find teens pennies more frequently. To this date the oldest i found was in my cash register as a 1917, and through all the boxes i’ve hunted, i’ve never come up with another teens penny!

I have worked at the same store for 15+ years. I kept every Wheat Penny I came across. I ended up just giving half to a friend who was looking to fill folders. The rest, like $200 worth were rolled up and spent. I could find no one to buy them. The local coin shop has tons.

Love your videos. What do you do with your copper? I have ponds and pounds of copper pennies not sure the best way to sell them as scrap copper.
@jeffreygrajek5834 жыл бұрын
@hill monica It is my understanding that the penny belongs to me and I can melt them down, make funny little coins out of them and sell them on eBay, stick them on my driveway with epoxy. I am pretty sure there is not a law barring me from that. What i cannot do is change the value and try to pass them off as legit coins.

Found a 1919 mercury dime , it is well worn can’t see the mint , and can mainly see 191 and the top of the 9 , is this something to keep or because of how worn just have for junk silver?

Do you wrap up the copper and wheat pennies as you go along? I've been doing that and have 47 rolls of copper pennies and 3 rolls of wheat pennies. 3 more rolls of copper pennies and I'll have a penny box full. I've also been doing the same with the 2009 Lincoln's 200th birthday pennies. I'm also starting to do the same with nickels as the metallic value is now equal to the face value.

Here in northern MI, the most Canadian's I've had in a box is nearly $2.50 face value. It was nuts. Also scored my first IHP in the same box. On average though, I usually get 40 Canadian's a box, and a KG6 every 2 boxes.
