Always enjoy your hunts, Rob, not so much for what you find, but for your enthusiasm (which is contagious) and for the knowledge you impart. Pennies are tough anyway, and I grew up in the 70's when wheaties (and the occasional steel) were everywhere, so even today it's hard for me to get excited about finding them.

I would much rather have a few pre-1930 wheat cents over a lot of common-date ones - especially that 1925-S - I need that for my book! 😀 And finding a wheatie from the teens is always sweet. Another great video!

Awesome finds. I love the old wheaties. I've been separating my coppers from zincs as well. I found a nice 1963 Denver and a 1975 San Francisco in beautiful condition. Haveva Happy New Year. 💖💯

Rob, its funny how when roll hunting, how the wheat cents seem to fluctuate from only finding some in boxes to finding a complete roll! Love the video!

Don't forget that the 1973 Lincoln Cents are one year type coins. A new reverse die was introduced for 1973, but mint officials had problems with the rather large "FG" designer initial and changed the reverse for 1974 to a smaller "FG", leaving only the 1973 Cents with the large initials.

Seeing American pennies makes me wonder why on earth the old pre-decimal British pennies were so huge compared to their American counterpart
@madmattdigs9518Күн бұрын
We did have large copper cents before 1856. We even refer to them as large cents. But, it’s been a long time…
@OldsVistaCruiserКүн бұрын
Our pre-1856 cents were the same size as pre-1971 British pennies, and we also had half cents that were the same size as the British ha'penny.

Also I think I have the worlds ugliest wheat cent and the only thing left of the date is the beginning of 19 possibly a mint mark barely any detail on the back.
