Love the clean, compact look of the 997 generation and it sounds amazing. You can really see how much bigger the 992 is when they're next to each other.

I would love a 997.1 but so worried about bore scored issue, only solution would be buy one with a engine rebuild

A bore scope inspection should put you at ease

We do a Bore Check, Compression Test and Compression Leak Down Test. Other than that as long as you treat it well, you will be safe from bore scoring. Lastly have a good warranty on it. For £900 we provided the Gold WarrantyWise cover which will cover you for mechanical failure

@invictusporsche thanks for the reply, I tought it's a issue from the engine regardless the bore check, bank 4 5 6 of the engine suffered from cold spots and that create the cylinder to score. beatiful car anyway

Great video Basheer...997.1 much better sounding than the 997.2. Everyone loves to say the 997.2 is the best 997 to get, however it just sounds too "exotic" compared to the rawness of the Gen 1. Gen 1 is going to have a better place in peoples' hearts in the long term, if an engine rebuild happens then at least you know you will pretty much end up with a "bulletproof" engine with nikasil liners, maybe even increase the bore size to 4.1 litres or more. Would love to have a 997.1 C2S again next to the 997.1 Turbo
