**PLEASE READ - The timestamp is below. l was fortunate to visit The King's private garden at Highgrove in Gloucestershire. I had excellent views of his house.
For security reasons, the areas I and others could film in, were restricted. No one was allowed to take photos of or film the house or garden. Filming was limited to the public areas only.
In this video, l give my impressions of the garden and will happily answer any questions you may have about the tour.
Please join me in this amazing experience Janice x

As an avid gardener, I've watched a few podcast videos on King Charles Highgrove garden. Your's is the BEST presentation. You showed beautiful details large and small, including the restaurant dishes. How tasteful and opulent. I am saving with the hope that one day, I will be able to make my own video.

Hopefully, it's a bit more than that. The title is what it is because I did see the house and walked through the garden for 90 minutes. When the tour was about to begin, subtitles state that I had to turn the camera off.

Our tour guide said the progression over the years in the King’s technique was visible. On reflection, I wish I had zoomed in on one or two paintings for a few seconds more to show the detail

I wish I could have shown the wild meadow, the large tree in front of the house that was turned into a ‘folly ‘ rather than tearing it down. The King also had a little hut ( but it was prettier than your average hut) where he goes alone to sometimes for meditation and quiet time. There was a treehouse originally built for William and Harry that William’s children use when they visit. A kitchen garden growing herbs, vegetables with flowers in large pots around the side. A fish pond in the middle of the kitchen garden with 2 large fish in it. It was a privilege to visit.

@JaniceLDN
@JaniceLDN Ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. I'm not sure about 'strange Diana'. When she first came into the public eye, she was just 18-19. She then lived the remainder of her adult life in the media spotlight. That must have been a lot to cope with. It must have had a huge impact on her behaviour.

Funnily enough, it works and it is rather elegant. There are traditional garden features: scores of trees, urns, columns, ivy, follies, wild meadows and treehouse etc. There are touches of the unusual: a sort of mini temple dedicated to the memory of his maternal grandmother, a quiet meditation’ hut’ , topiary in the shapes of Christmas pudding, wedding cake, wooden Indian gates, head and shoulder busts of the King sitting in the middle of cut hedges. Perhaps he goes to whichever part of this garden his mood takes him. To the religious icon one day, the hut , the next
