It's her Mercury conjunct Uranus in Gemini. Her little quick-witted quirkiness is also her Gemini Sun. Her drive is her Moon and Midheaven conjunction in Capricorn. Her passion and confidence is her Aries Ascendant/"Rising" Trine Jupiter. I could go on but I'll stop there. Her Natal Chart really does map her out beautifully. It's all there! #WrittenInTheStars

I've been in love with Stevie's voice since I first heard it as a boy. There is a deeply ancient soulfulness to it that I connected to and understood at that age more than the words she was singing. It's still like a blanket you can wrap yourself up in from time to time when life's winds blow a bit chilly. She'll always be the High Priestess of Rock n Roll.

I've always said Stevie was like a bit of fairy dust magic that God sprinkled down onto us to give a little more light to the world. Always loved her mystical energy that she exudes whenever she performs. Her voice makes me think of campfires and deep green forests and beautiful blue sky and witchy women dancing in the trees.

I fell in love with Stevie Nicks like maybe half the males in America did in the Seventies and Eighties...and she has really never stopped performing, both with the Mac and solo...She is an absolute angel...a very sweet and caring person...loves our troops, cares about family, cares about her music and her bandmates...and she cares deeply about her FANS... She's the real deal, and they just don't make 'em like Stevie Nicks any more...She is - IMHO - the once and forever Queen of Rock...there can be no other.

This is fantastic. Beautiful. I was 13 years old in 1978. Growing up in Glendale, California. I had a crush on Stevie. Listened to all of Fleetwood Mac's music with her in it. Moved to Sunland-Tujunga in late 78. Parents divorced. Ten years later in 1988 I'd discover a girl named Gwen Stefani and her band No Doubt with my video camera. I heard that Stevie had a secret home in Seven Hills a secret area of Tujunga, California. Eddie Van Halen also had a home up there too. Still a fan of Stevie to this day.

I was at that concert! August 1978, Cotton Bowl. Steve Miller Band played first and I had mainly came to see him. I had been into the old blues Fleetwood Mac but had only heard some pop stuff from the new lineup and was blown away by how great they sounded that night. Better than the Steve Miller Band for sure. They were a BAND!! Powerful sounding you know, like the E Street Band or the Heartbreakers.

Thanks for posting this footage of Stevie chatting with a local TV reporter as she and the band make their way to their limos on the tarmac. And I'd like to say a few things in support of the news guy. First, this was done when a two-or-three person crew--reporter and camera operator and possibly a driver--showed up in a big conversion van and had to be ready to go when the plane arrived, so they had probably been at the airport for awhile. (And the concert promoter was probably advertising the show on that station, so the station was likely adding value by providing some 'news' coverage of the band's arrival.) Second, the news guy had to interview Stevie at the foot of the stairs because the entourage was en route to the venue or hotel--no waiting around in that heat. Third, his questions got her to converse about herself and the band and it was a pleasant conversation for the most part--the camera angle and audio were excellent and for an on-the-fly chat, there was a lot to like about this. And imagine how the news started that evening: "Fleetwood Mac arrived in town this afternoon and our very own Ron Burgundy was there to talk exclusively with Stevie Nicks in this exclusive one-on-one conversation which we present now in this KDFW Eyewitness Action News Channel 5 Exclusive Report." It is the way it was back then :)

Though Fleetwood Mac music from '75 on was a listening staple for me (that includes Stevie and Lindsey's solo album), I never paid much attention to the back story of their personal lives, and didn't follow them in the rock press. It was only much later, perhaps when I saw the Behind The Music segment on VH1, did I realize what they all went through. And now with all the video clips and interviews available on KZbin, I can't help but be impressed with just how focused and driven Stevie Nicks is and was. Even the interviews from 1975 are impressive.
