Rare! Triumph's Mike Levine on Wheel of Fortune - 1995-12-24

Digging into the vault once again... this time to find Triumph bassist Mike Levine, who appeared on Wheel of Fortune, which aired on Christmas Eve back in 1995 (possibly 1996, I don't have the date recorded exactly, but for what else is on the old VHS tape with it, I'm pretty sure it's 1995).
My apologies, the video of the last 45 seconds with Mike goes black. The audio is still there, but the video part was somehow lost. When I was digitizing my old VHS tapes, for some reason that portion would not transfer. I also did not record the bonus round of that episode (which Mike did NOT appear in).
The video quality is as good as can be expected from an old VHS tape that was recorded in SLP mode and sat for 20 years until being digitized. I have never seen this footage anywhere on the net, and it has been asked for countless times by Triumph fans, so here it is! Perhaps someday someone else with a copy of the show with better quality (and that last minute of video) will share it with the masses, but until then, this brings back to life that epic half hour of game show TV, with THE Mike Levine. I remember when I heard this man say "I play with a band called Triumph" and looked up to see Mike Levine. Pat Sajack had no idea who Triumph was and I was LMAO. I knew people in Canada at least were thinking, "Do you know you're talking to Canadian rock royalty"?

It was cool as I saw this episode when it aired. Seeing a member of one of my favorite bands on wheel blew my mind! Was wondering if it was some celebrity thing. I remember seeing a member from The Runaways on Jeopardy a couple of years ago and she won three or four games too!

Triumph had broken up by this point. 1993 was the last year the band was together officially. I'm sure it was just called a hiatus at this point.

You think someone in the audience would have known who Levine was, especially back then, or at least would have popped when he said he was played in Triumph. I always love how he never changed his look. He always kept that dirty long hair and mustache, even though it was not in style in the 80s.

I was actually watching the show the night he was on! It blew my mind he was on there! I was in my 20's and had been a huge fan since Allied Forces came out when I was 14, so I CERTAINLY knew who he was!

Just finished watching the Triumph: Rock And Roll Machine documentary on CTV. Didn't know it was on and just happened to see it in the guide. Brought back some awesome memories! Saw them only one time, on the Thunder 7 tour in my home town. They were playing huge venues, and the Toronto show was sold out. Next thing I know, they announce they are playing in our little arena in GUELPH of all places! My 2nd concert ever and one of my favorite bands! Blew me away, and Helix opened for them! One of the best concerts I've ever seen out of the hundreds I've been to from bars to stadiums.

It's interesting that they had Pat still doing the "We're playing for cash" bit given it had been almost a decade since the all cash format debuted. I believe he eventually stopped saying it sometime in Season 15 unless i'm mistaken.
