I'm seriously enjoying the new Newsnight format. It's so fresh and irreverent. Not the same old tired faces. Well done - At last ! There, I just praised the BBC !

Why the location and distance of the interviewer and interviewee? It’s about as unusual as the shift of the civil servant to pub owner.

I don’t support the tories. But it’s mental that we the voting public are supposed to believe that she could be a impartial civil servant making or breaking a Tory premiership then working for the Labour Party months later

She’s taken over and it feels like a coup. If you dare disagree she and her minion (Starmer) will have you arrested and flung into jail. Releasing convicted felons to make space and allowing criminals into the UK them housing them and giving them the money stolen from the pensioners!

She’s refusing appointed ministers access to two faced Starmer and pushing out staff who dare have different views. A terrorist sympathiser who hates the electorate. Is Starmer to weak to oust her or was he in on the plot?

@@user-qo8ci2ye6v She doesn't have power. She is an adviser. The people who do have power can either take her advice or not take her advice. All of that is irrespective of whether you agree with her or not.
