This is the 'Paul' I've grown up with. I know him as Paul. (I'm an 80's child).. but on a lot of inspection and looking at things it is plain as day to me that this is a new 'Paul' not Paul McCartney but Billy Shears.. all his children have his look, the more hawk like nose and more rectangular face. They are 2 different souls. I always noticed when I was younger that there was a contrast and difference in the later albums/covers/ (even in their essence and character) but I obviously couldn't put my finger on it, and just believed him to be Paul. I really liked actual Paul McCartney (I'm a musician and I used to listen to the early stuff and revolver etc) (and then loved Abby road etc) but John became my favourite because I could place him more....feel him more in a way.. and now I know why. I'm not judging anyone, or hating on Faul..but man, is it good to know and realise the truth. Rip lovely Paul McCartney.. and God bless everyone :)

popstargirl79 I think that difference you saw was LSD. Paul famously held out on raking it longer than the other beatles. He also went to Los Angeles and met alot of US acts with different newer sounds. Then because they'd stopped touring they had alot of time to work on the album and experiment knowing that it'd never be played live. I'm not going to comment on your PID views but there are many reasons for a change in the beatles sound, late 66. I just don't think the case is strong.

At 6:30 - 6:32 this guy gives the same, albeit slightly more subdued, head waggle that was given by Mal Evans' road companion in early '67 in Kenya. The one where he is holding the video camera and hamming it up. Prior to that Kenya scene, there is no analogous footage of JPM behaving that way. He had already met Bob Dylan by then an smoked jazz cigarettes, and yet did not present himself as clowning around, prior to '67. I'm not saying that JPM didn't have fun or joke around. What I am saying is that his self-presentation was different. I suspect that JPM was a much more intelligent and naturally creative person who had endured so much hardship in building up the band from nothing, that he knew that it wasn't a joke.

All this is interesting. I have just read here about Jimmy Nicols who subbed for the ill/hospitalized Ringo early on when fame began. JN drummed on a Beatles' songs "knockoff" album, sold at a cheap price. Was that album recorded by Billy Pepper and the Pepperpots, led by William Shears Shepherd [or perhaps Campbell]????? Hi, there is a video with "Paul" being interviewed with a very young Linda sitting next to him, I believe they were outdoors, and he was asked in third person style something like if Paul was ever going to get back with the Beatles, and he said, no, and when asked why, he said straight up, because he's dead and I'm making a lot of money being him, or something very similar to that. That footage has completely disappeared from youtube as far as I know. Do you have it? I wish I would have known how to save youtube videos to my hard drive back then, because I would have for sure saved that one.

+olivier ananda hi, I've heard that explanation, but in the interview of that particular one, the person asking the questions didn't seem to be leaning as to imply that or even come off as hitting on the PID subject. It did appear to be filmed just before or right after the Beatles split up, and that PID thing was still pretty fresh so he could be just locked into responding to that notion without being prompted. Still, I cannot find that footage; how someone says something can sometimes add meaning to the actual words they are saying.

UPDATE NEWS ON FAUL MCCARTNEY; Before the Billy Shears start portraying the great and one and only James Paul McCartney, Linda was one of the photographers for the Beatles prior to September 11th, 1966. I've done my research and what I'm about to tell you is not on youtube until now, today. This information comes straight out of the book " The memoirs of Billy Shears"! You all need to find & buy this book! it will answer all your questions! Written by Thomas E. Uharriet, who has several other books out there, who knows this could also be another name Billy Shears went by? Billy Shears is a mastermind high level free mason, and that's another story. When the change had taken place, Linda was doing some more photographing for the beatles. When she finally got Faul alone, she boldly come out and said I know your not the real Paul Mccartney! Let's talk she said, so Faul said ok let's talk. Seeing Linda had a crush on the real paul & the real Paul & Faul was fond of her beauty. she bravely said I won't tell a soul if you take me out on a date, from then on they hit it off, fell in love, got married and had three children. The vocal range and phrasing in both samples is also the same. The slight difference in vocal tone is attributed to the age difference of Sir Paul as he has matured over the years and so has his voice. The spectrogram image below shows exact frequency spectrum in spite of the difference in years: In the above image, the spectral frequency display is shown in the lower half of the image in color. The yellow, brighter colors indicate the stronger higher volume frequencies present in that portion of the audio while purple and black colors represent frequencies that are weaker or lower in volume. The audio on the left side of the image is the original recording of the song from 1963 and the portion on the right is the more recent recording from 2002. These can be heard in the comparison audio work product attached to this report. When closely examining the formant frequencies shown in the spectral display above, it is noted that they are nearly identical. Formants are resonances or spectral created by a human voice. These are the frequencies that have the highest presence in a person’s voice and determine most of the tonal qualities of that individual voice.
