They were both done through Chip's Liquor and Del Mesa Liquor in San Diego. Both ship from online sales. Not sure if still available but you can Google them (they called it the Brothers of Destruction set)

Longtime Whiskey Tribe fan from Iowa watching for my first distillery location visit. Drinking Blaum Bros Rye while watching. The brothers are super nice, knowledgeable, and their story is great. Staff at the distillery was super friendly. Sadly we were on a time crunch and missed the tour. Definitely need to revisit to your and get a couple more bottles.

Wilderness Trail is in most states. They're also filling as many barrels a year as Wild Turkey and are easily one of the top 5 contract distillers in the country. Plus they're an off shoot of Ferm Solutions. They're basically one of the big boys now

I wouldn't say Wilderness Trail is rare, considering how many picks my local store has right now. That said, everything I've tried is amazing.

Coincidentally, I picked up a bottle of the Wilderness Trail Bourbon Bottled in Bond, non-chill filtered, 12 of 250 last week, and had the same reaction. Great nose and palette, all-around great bourbon. Two thumbs up. Cheers!

Man... I hate that Daniel is known for his researching of companies and give no info on Wilderness Trail. As someone who has been to the distillery a couple of times, these guys are chemists, literally. They started off as a small chemical company and then moved into whiskey. They do yeast strains to order and everything. Very passionate group. And its column still.

Gentlemen, just listened to Secret Heart for the first time. Not my typical music style preference, but not something I do not like; rap, pop, country. definitely something I could listen to repeatedly when in a softer mood. Not sure if Daniel is the vocalist, but does sound like him at times. First listen all I could think about was, like foreigners (non U.S.) who have a thick accent can sing in clear American English, is that Daniel (if it is he) sings without the "ink" ending on his "ing" words.

Wilderness Trail doesn't do pot still, just the typical column still. I think it comes from the level 4 char and that they use kiln dried barrels. Also Non-chilled filtered.

Is it me or does it seem like they've been reversing the whiskeys for their main week episodes and the Rare Whiskey Friday? They always seem to pick interesting, unique, and widely available whiskeys on Friday, then have to rush on when it would be so interesting to hear them talk about it. Then on every weekday, it's some random, unavailable whiskey that is substandard and not interesting. I think the selection process for these episodes could use some calibration guys!
