I agree with you. She pretended to be somebody she wasn't and that from the beginning of the relationship on. She wanted to be somebody. Being with him offered her some opportunities. She probably had her dreams and wanted to be with someone important to achieve her goals, which automatically wouldn't have been possible if she had continued her life as an unknown young girl without a global star by her side. Luckily for her Elvis was attracted to her. You have to have some luck in life, right? She had some luck that's for sure. I have to admit, she expressed some really good ideas, for example the jumpsuits, the flashy belts, the logos. Maintaining Graceland was a hard piece of work, which she mastered brilliantly. But I don't believe her story about how they met either. She must have helped somehow. She must have been precocious, considering that her mother was often pregnant from 1949 on. I'm assuming her mother was helping her style the day she met Elvis. It would have been in her mother's interest that Elvis found her daughter attractive. Neither her mother nor the man who adopted her, were rich people. It's easy to answer who benefited from whom. I believe also what Mary Lacker reported: Elvis told him that he was pressured by Priscilla's father to marry her. In the last phone call that Red West had with Elvis, Elvis talked about his wedding day and called it "that marriage thing." He seemed not to have digested it after 10 years. He complained to Red that this marriage ceremony had happened so quick. He didn't get to enjoy his own wedding. What would have happened to Priscilla if she and Elvis had broken up in the mid 60s or earlier? What would she have achieved afterwards? Most likely not what she achieved after her divorce. She certainly would have gotten married at some point, but would she have lived in a beautiful villa like she did before and after her divorce? There was only one Elvis, and she certainly had the ambition to keep him for herself, especially when half the women in the world idolized him and would have sold their grandmother to be with him. I can imagine, that she wanted to remain at his side. I also read that she allegedly was a big Paul Anka fan and allegedly tried to get to know him before she met Elvis. Getting to know Paul Anka during the late 50s and early 60s was a big deal and still is. From what I've read, she allegedly has made an effort to get close to Paul Anka. Red West once said in an interview that you can find on youtube, that she allegedly tried to get to know him (Red) in Germany, shortly before she met Elvis. So its a bit strange to hear all those things about her. Fact is, cheating rumors started to arise a few years after the wedding. The way she started dating Mike Stone seems to show a pattern. Did Elvis figure out things? Why did the relationship fell apart? Did he never fully digest the fact that he was forced into his own marriage? Marty Lacker said Elvis allegedly kept postponing the wedding around 1965/66. You can hear it in his interviews. As a big Elvis fan, I often wondered: Would Elvis have gotten older if he never had married and never had divorced her? The divorce hit him hard. Sonny West once said that the fact, she dated MS was allegedly hard to take for Elvis. If he had lived longer, he could have achieved new things with his wonderful and unique voice, personality and creativity. I am sad that the most important person in that group is gone as the first one. Elvis is gone for so many years now. Some others, for example the colonel, outlived him for so much longer, 20 years, and died at nearly 88 years old. He lived twice as long as Elvis and destroyed Elvis health by making him perform several times a night for weeks and was never interested in letting him perform outside of the US. Nearly everybody who was with him made money out of him. That`s kind of sad. It was so important to Elvis to always give his best in every show, no matter the cost. Elvis, thank you for that! Mike Stone was righting a book and was supposed to add a little bit about him and Priscilla. She definitely pursued him. Elvis’ cousin’s wife, Jo Smith, said on their last KZbin channel how Priscilla lied about not having friends. Priscilla and Jo did a lot of things together. Shopping and so much more etc. Dancing old dances together in front a big mirror, when Billy and Jo lived in California. And Priscilla stayed with Jo Smith in their Double Wide Trailer at Graceland when Elvis was in Hollywood making movies. They went a lot places together. Elvis was still trying to get out of the wedding. If you recall, in 3/67 Elvis fell in the bathroom and hit his head on the tub and was knocked out several hours. The result was a mild concussion. That's when Parker, along with Vernon and Prissy, realigned the MM. Parker brought Joe E. back in as road manager and pushed Marty Lacker out because he wouldn't feed information to him on Elvis. So, the caste system then became EP/Pp, Joe E/Joannie/Jerry S. on one side and everyone else on the other (the leeches as Prissy referred to them). So, when EP said that he was "railroaded" into the marriage and it happened so fast, I think this is what he was referring to. He was down for two-weeks recovering from the concussion, then had to finish a movie and the next thing you know he was married. Parker/Prissy, etc. took full advantage of this opportunity to not only push the marriage, but Parker also started taking 50% of Elvis' earnings.

To me over the years Priscilla has sold herself as a victim of Elvis and anybody else that gets in her way. What sealed me on how narcissistic Priscilla is is when she went after her own grandkids for their inheritance from Lisa. 3 months before Lisa passed she tried everything to stop priscilla from making that awful movie about Elvis. nobody can take a man that doesn’t want to be taken. I think the focus on who hurt Mikes’ wife should stay on Mike. Without Mike’s cooperation Priscilla would not have been able to do any these things that Mike did. I don’t condone what she did and do believe there’s some manipulation she did but then again so did Elvis. It’s easy to blame Priscilla but I don’t think she’s the total blame for anything. These are all adult men she was a teenager so to say she used Elvis?? hmmm no I can’t say that should be put on here. Elvis and Curry and Mike are actually the perps here who used Priscilla. You’re talking grown men and a 14 year old.

priscilla said elvis called her and mike stone was a witness to the phone conversation and priscilla started to cry while speaking to elvis on the phone and mike stone said what happened and she said elvis said he going to come over here and beg on my knees to come back to him and mike stone said let me talk to him and when he did he told elvis.. ELVIS, you know im not running from you and you know where i am and live you can come down anytime you wont im not afraid of you. he said elvis sounded drugged up on the phone.

I have to agree...she had no scruples about him having a family, but he was an adult and consenting. You don't "steal" a person who doesn't want to be "stolen ". Both were married so no one is to be judged better than the other..they had the same responsibility. They made their choice. The only thing is that Priscilla always tends to overlook the fact that she left Elvis because she was already involved in another relationship ..she likes the "I lived in a bubble and needed to find myself" narrative much better. 😂

@@ruthbashford3176 Mike is actually a pretty level headed guy. He fell for Priscilla so left his wife, and admits now he wasn't a good husband to his first wife. The disappointing thing is he walked away from his children to be with her. Priscilla is too used to getting what she wants and she knows how to use her assets.

@@clapolla Natalie Wood. Do you need any more. Even when she was on Dallas there were better looking women in Deborah Shelton or Victoria Principal. Like Larry Hagman said if her last name was Smith she never gets the role of Jenna Wade. She is attractive but not all time elite.

@@rolltide9547 We'll have to agree to disagree. I'm no fan of Priscilla Presley by any stretch, however, her exquisite beauty - once upon a time - was pretty much unparalleled. There's a difference between being sexy and being beautiful. I don't think PP was sexy. I think Linda Thompson was far sexier than PP. PP was a classic beauty. Her features looked as tho' they were chiseled by a sculptor. Those ladies on Dallas were beautiful, but none of them were in her league. Natalie Wood was pretty but, again, not on the same level. Not going back and forth ... as I have no reason to waste my time being so allegiant to PP .... just stating the obvious as I see it. As I said, we'll agree to disagree. There's a reason Elvis was initially smitten with her.
