At the 9:00 mark, I see it (buggy choke) but I still don't understand it. Is it just covering her nose and mouth so she can't breath? It looks like the pressure is behind her neck and head.

Guthrie is trying to push down on the face of Olga to defend, while Olga secures the Buggy Choke. The Buggy Choke is similar to a triangle choke but from the bottom of side control. So, Olga's arm and crossed legs are putting pressure on the carotid arteries in Guthrie's neck causing the choke and the tap.

Sucks Claire lost the way she did after having been on an amazing win streak, competing in TUF 30, and displaying the best fight of that whole season alongside Juliana Miller. I feel like had she won, she either would have gotten a UFC contract or at least have qualified for the contender series last year. If not any of that then she would have definitely gotten her well earned title shot. It’s a real shame she was the first fighter in Invicta history to lose through that choke she never saw coming. I do hope she’ll bounce back from her 2 fight losing streak she got not only from Olga Rubin, but also from Zurina Turrey, who I hope invicta will sign someday if the UFC or PFL don’t ever do it.
