Rare because it's an 87 turbo t that's black w/black trim, but chrome bumpers. Only made until about November of 86, when the we4 turbo t with black bumpers started. Not sure how many exactly were built, but only a couple hundred is suspected. Mine is one, and was built in November. I have the chrome ones in the garage 😏

1972 Buick Riviera Boat-tail is by far the “Holy Grail” of Buicks, in my opinion. But damn these do look good!

The 1987 turbo t WE4 came with color match bumpers just like the GN there was only 1547 produced in 1987 only

That's not a WE4 in the video though, it's an 87 Base model T with W02 blackout package. Even more rare than a WE4.

This is from Hemming Motor News 12/06: "A grand total of 1,547 WE4 Turbo-T units left the assembly line, meaning that aside from the GNX, the Turbo-T is one of the rarest turbo Regals to leave the line. The announcement of the model came compliments of a Buick Product bulletin dated November 11, 1986; already well into the model-year production, with a production start date of December 8. Interestingly, just two days prior, a bulletin had been released stating that the WE4 would no longer be available with the WO2 black-out kit trim package. According to Dennis Kirban's book, Kirban's Guide to 1986 & 1987 Buick Turbo Regals, "They (Buick) did this so it would not be confusing having two Turbo Regals available at the same time in black." He goes on to explain, "The only difference between the new WE4 version and the black one with the WO2 exterior sport package would be the old WE4 version would have matching black bumpers. The new one would have chrome bumpers." Just how many truly black WE4s Buick made before the change is not known, but it's a good bet that not too many of these were built. "

@@kimchiandkilos4116 I know all about the WE4, but like I said the one in the video is not a WE4, it has chrome bumpers, WE4s have black bumpers. I have an 87 Black T with chrome trim.

@@Schmeekss i didnt say it likr that, i said it with proper grammar. Yeah its not GNX, its nice and sure rare but while it may have similar drivetrain to a GNX it still falls short. No other GM product carried the rear suspension set up of a true GNX. The amount of engineering that went into making it a great race vehicle is what made it be called Grand National Experimental. Due some learning bro, and get some real world experience before you step up to a junkyard dog.
