I can definitely imagine this is what Pro BG Duos would look like. As it is just way more efficient to focus both players on making one guys board the absolute nuts than having you both splitting and ending up with 2 boards that aren't nearly as strong. You have 1 player as the carry and the other just funneling them resources.

​@@Gaban_Akazamzarak's secret pool used to be limited to 7 secrets, one of which was ice block. You could then discover 4 minion based secrets on an empty board and guarantee ice block every turn. This technically didn't win the game but it stalled it out until some one caved.

I came back to Hearthstone yesterday after like a 3 month break. Saw they made a new mode and tried it out. I love it! I actually sort of quit Hearthstone in January but this mode is making me want to keep playing the game again.

I play TFT Co-op A LOT. Usually with a duo partner I know irl. She never knew about TFT and I taught her the works and the ways. Every season we end up Plat-Diamond and it's actually a load of fun. *(But of course, being on the TFT team.. I might have some bias hahah)*

@@TheCotzi Eh, it varies. I had a game where my communication with random teammate with pings was great and we steamrolled other teams. It made me angry at Blizz for not showing your teammate's tag after the game to add them as friend, because I'd love to play with that guy again.

I've loved duos so far. There's some bugs that really really need to be fixed, but it's very fun despite that. Me and my friend have been playing BGs since it came out and always wondered if this woul be a thing. Since it came out we've played so much. It's challenging, but it's more fun because of that imo. I love seeing the crazy combos that can be made with heroes. We had a lobby yesterday with a total of 9 N'zoth Fish because they had Nzoth and Faceless on one team (2 fish), a tess who stole both their fish repeatedly (6 by the end), and a rafaam who also stole one. It was insane and so fun to watch.

I like duos personally. I dont have friends, so its fun to have this random person paired up with me and trying desperatrly to communicate with them on a time limit. Even when mistakes happen, there's something inherently fun about that concept

Me and my friend used to play TFT together, we tried duos but went back to just playing together in solos because it was more fun. I imagine if I had a friend who played hearthstone in 2024 they wouldn't want to play duos

My most 'absurd' win in bg's is that I was trying to do the quest where you have to upgrade the tavern so I just didn't get anything and rushed all the upgrades without buying any minions whatsoever. Once i had tier 6 I started getting minions and bc I rushed there I ended up getting first pick of basically everything and built an insanely strong [I think it was demons] setup and I ended up literally taking 1st place. I laughed and was like there's no freaking way that worked.

I feel like Duos exists because Blizzard wants a BG mode they can push a competitive scene for. It is much more suoted to pro play than solo BG is. Also easier to organise games sinxe you only need to organise 4 teams at a time rather than 8 per game.
