Ras is seriously one of the LAST REAL hard LA MCs. When all the other originals like Snoop, Cube and Dre get softer and turn to other avenues like acting and fashion, Ras is still working on his craft. You may not like his content, but props to somebody who remains committed!

People are too fkin judgmental when someone isn't walking around beating their chest as a super alpha male...they're gay. Said the same sht about Danny Brown etc etc. This dude has been all up and down the west coast and has worked with Xzbit, Pac, Ice T, E40, Too Short etc etc and not a single person has ever muttered he was gay... in the end of the day Ras Soul on Ice album is beyond classic Nature of the Threat could have been comparable in content to that of a verse from KRS1 in the 90s. Should be happy that he's out to help spear head some more thought provoking music in comparison to allot of the wack sht that's out now.. ref. Thugga, Future and so on

Judaism, Christianity, Islam, etc. all of their foundational beliefs, holy practices & fascinating stories ORIGINATED from EITHER ancient Egyptology, Astrology, Astronomy, Mythology, EVEN from other OLDER/UNPOPULAR religions/mythologies. these common beliefs & practices existed 1000's of years long BEFORE your religion/mythology was INVENTED. it may not be EXACTLY the same thing but we can see where the IDEAS came from & evolved thanks to ancient his-story *heres ONE small example of how your religion/mythology is pure utter bullshit & how it has always stolen from numerous ancient religions/cultures* the Bible's 10 Commandments originated from the Egyptian Book Of The Dead (42 Declarations of Innocence) & the Babylonian Law Code (Code Of Hammurabi). they have been CARVED/ENGRAVED on Sumerian stone stele's & Egyptian pyramids walls & tombs 1000's of years BEFORE the INVENTION of your religion/mythology...theres even recycled Egyptian hymns in the Torah/Bible/Quran...to the black people with a lot of African pride, calm the fuck down because the Egyptians borrowed/stole from ancient Sumeria (Babylon) & ancient India

Apollo Brown puts the "D"-irty in his beats always. I don't always agree with the content of what Ras says but he is mean on the mic. By the way Amen is not a reference Amen Ra or Amun Ra. They have different translations. The Hebrew root word for amen starts with aleph and the Egyptian name starts with yodh. They are no way related. Now I can agree there is pagan roots in Christmas, Easter, and Valentines and also the worship on Sunday.
@vancegreen1016
@vancegreen1016 9 жыл бұрын
+Stanley B What are you talking about?! First off, Amen Ra is a combination of two gods fused together when the ruler of upper and lower Egypt united the country and 'allowed' the natives to continue worshipping their respective North and South gods. God Amen of the North, God Ra-Herakhty of the South. Amen was not a "hebrew" deity? Genesis 41:45, 46:20 priest of "On""Heliopolis (helio =sun = Ra=Sun God Ra not yet combined with Amen). Same "Amen" from Revelations 3:14 "This is the message from the one who is the Amen- the faithful and true witness, the beginning* [Tyndale bible greek translation footnotes, "Or the ruler, or the source"] of god's new creation:" Acts 7:22 "Moses taught 'all' the wisdom of the Egyptians" -obviously including worship of Papyrus of Unas and Papyrus of Ami. The worship of golden calf-Goddess Hathor/Het Heru at what was later called Mt. Sinai, as well as worship of Ra, Amen, Ptah and others including but not limited to Khnum/Chnum, Khemu, , the creator seen in pyramid glyphs at a potter's wheel fashioning/creating man. They are in fact related in every aspect. 450 years in Kemet and they didn't learn and re-copy, then steal i.e Dead Sea Scrolls and Septuagint (70 scholars tasked with deciphering) the aforementioned texts? Yes, they are "related".

+vancegreen1016 true shit. seems the Jews left Egypt and took all they learned from the dietys and book of the dead and forgot where it all came from. just like the virgin Mary and immaculate conception was taken from Egypt
@stanleyb2320
@stanleyb2320 9 жыл бұрын
+vancegreen1016 I never said that Amen was a Hebrew deity. Nothing about them are related. They have different translations and root words based on their respective languages. Throughout the Bible Hebrews were subjugated many times and several pagan entities were introduced to them. However their belief in Yahweh and his commandments carried through. Revelations 3:14 Amen is used as an affirmation that the Spirit this letter is to be received by is from Yahweh/Elohim/God himself. Moses was born a Hebrew and raised as an Egyptian so of course he taught pagan beliefs until Yahweh came to him. These "Amens" are totally different. Side NOTE: For Moses to have fit in he must have looked similar to the people who raised him. Egyptians are people of color so that means Moses had to have color. He married a Cushite(also spelled with a K) woman. Cushites are Northern Africans or any people of African decent. Cush was the eldest Son of Ham which was the son of Noah who believed in Yahweh. When Eqypt conquered Cush they became pagan. Africans were monotheist and believed in 1 God well before Egyptians began their polytheist belief. Also Yahweh talked and sent the Holy Spirit to his people directly so there were no need to write or draw his images as it violates His second commandment. Lucifer means lightbringer, shining and/or morning star=Sun. He was kicked out of Heaven because he rejected Yahweh and wanted to be FIRST in heaven. In the bible especially in the old testament Yahwehs followers would pray toward the temple facing away from the sun or in a north south direction. (Ezekial 8: 14-16 Duet, 4:19 ; 17:3). Also these pagan gods want to be FIRST or revered the highest. Now Yahweh says he is the FIRST and LAST. He provided a SON of man to be a servant to man thus completing the first and last statement. Also according to Yahwehs 4th commandment It starts off with "REMEMBER" the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. God asked for the 7th day of the week for veneration not the first. Back to the original point in the Bible or in original Hebrew text AMEN was used as an affirmation and in the case of Rev 3:14 because Yeshua is saying directly out of His mouth he saying he is the living "Affirmer".
@vancegreen1016
@vancegreen1016 9 жыл бұрын
We are in agreement about the tale of Moses being about a person of color. However, you are wrong about Ea/Yah. Yahweh is the 'female' Akan diety, the Goddess of Thursday. Yahweh is not a "he". You're trying to use a hebrew plagiarism, a remake, if you will, to justify...or predate the original 'stories'. The stories of Ra, Ptah, Amen and others existed among "people of color" long before there was a haribu/hebrew in Alkebu-Lan/Africa. The bible was written/re-copied at the Library of Alexandria in Egypt. Fact. At the introduction pages of my King James Bible and my (William) Tyndale bible [with footnotes] reveals that the New Testament translators relied on the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Septuagint (those 70 hebrew scribes working the bible translations at the Library of Alexandria for the Greeks) the Latin Vulgate and other old manuscripts. This should be common sense. The first people on this planet, the first people to introduce writing...wrote the 'stories' about god, the stars, creation and everything else. By the time non-Africans invaded the already several thousands year old stories were known to invaders, some of whom came to learn in Africa. The torah/old testament stories were not written by Moses nor were the so-called ten commandments..aka The Negative Confessions of Maat. They existed thousands of years before the birth of moses and the moses story. Black History is not limited to February. When you see a caduceus on an ambulance, think Imhotep, when (if ever) you see the Ebers Smith Papyrus and the MSNH-NY, think Imhotep. Adonis-Tammuz-Adad (Wailing Wall) black god Dimuzi, one in the same. You may choose to exercise your right to remain unaware, but the Church founders and bible printers know that the origin of these stories pre-date the bible and hebrew carbon copies. Christian bible relying on hebrew texts stolen/copied from the previously cited caves, tombs, Pyramid Texts, Papyrus and Scrolls throughout Africa. Pagan? Meaning not knowing or accepting Christ/a title...the anointed one- or pagan meaning Satan? No, pagan meaning anyone not falling for the Robin Thicke "remake" of a Marvin Gaye song does so because their devilish. There was no jesus/ayesu, or joshua when black Africans were worshipping Ra and Amen. These stories and this fact is older than you and I, and well traveled historians both white and black have acknowledged this fact...including the greeks and roman historians who studied and traveled to Africa during those ancient times. Homer and others have written of their awareness of the "origin" of their religion and all religions. It is you who is unaware. You would benefit greatly from reading The Africans Who Wrote the Bible by Dr. Nana Banchie Darkwah. Reading the works of now deceased author Zecharia Sitchin may aid with insight considering that he is/was one of many jewish authors/historians to affirm much of what black historians have revealed for decades. One need not subscribe to the whole alien deal to sift out the factual references to ancient documents currently housed in museums worldwide. If you're done learning or only read one book, then nothing will cure you of what you do not know despite historian's paper trails predating your birth. This particular chicken before the egg 'mystery' has in fact already been solved. Aeons ago.

+vancegreen1016 What I find funny is the thought that the original Hebrew is the euro looking Hebrew we see today. Some of the oldest Jewish people tribes reside in Northern Africa. Definitely Yahweh/God commandments were in effect well before Moses was given them. The 10 commandments have to be divine because they are condemning but show how to love. The first 4 on how to love God and the next 6 on how to love your fellow human, parents, spouse, and neighbor and it has never changed. Several of the dieties in Egypt either borrowed or similar to Canaanite religion ie Anat - Canaan religion goddess of war was given to Set to marry. Now Nubia which is Africa, today Sudan, were a part of the Egyptian empire. These people which included the Kushites descendants of Kush/Cush originally believed in one God until they were conquered by Egypt. Most people who speak against "Christianity" grew up Christians just like Ras but had questions but did not get the answers they were looking for and fell into the Papal view of Christianity. I am very well aware Black History is not just Feb. I don't care for Black History month as it's BS. But enough on our beliefs. Let's break it down to principals. 1. We are to claim or appropriate Egyptian culture as our own as black people or Africans but Egyptians do not claim being black or African. Yes they are a people of color but call them black or African and they will view it as disrespect. 2. Why would I believe in a god or gods that can't be god all by themselves? Elohim is God all by Himself and all powerful. 3. More gods were added according the kingdom that was established it. With Yahweh it was always the Father, Holy Spirit, and the Logos(the Word in Heaven, the Word manifest in man as Yeshua) together as one. None added 4. God had from the beginning a specific divine plan and ministry in mind for everyone. Not one Egyptian god has a ministry or was designed for everyone to partake of. 5. Yahweh identifies who His counter-enemy is and what that enemy is capable of. A good portion of the Egyptian gods are good and evil. It's confusing. They deceive each other but yet I'm supposed to believe they will not do it to me? We all have a belief system rooted in some other person's writing or research long before we were ever thought of. Even the hieroglyphs were written and rewritten over to the shine the best light on the successive Pharaoh with each one trying to show their glory greater than the previous. Who knows what was omitted just as you describe with Hebrew text so was it with these Egyptian findings. I mean paganism is like Marvin Gaye releasing his greatest hits album. Robin Thicke remaking one song it into his image because he knows all about Marvin Gaye and his plan for salvation for R&B Music for everybody. Robin understands the power of the message. The listening audience getting mad at the song but does not spend time to listen to Marvin Gaye's album to know the message he is saying and what R&B Music is. But they allow Miguel to come in. He makes Adorn which is virtually "Sexual Healing". Yes he has some talent but he is a POP artists not R&B but get's a pass because he look like Marvin Gaye. The sucker is not just the person who believes Robin Thicke record is the original it's also the person who lets other false records pass through because it looks a certain way. The person that get's it is the one who respects the Robin Thicke and Miguel records for their contributions to music but knows and acknowledges the source they both got their ideas from and spends time getting to know Marvin Gaye and His story to connect the dots to whatever outcome they find. Respect, peace and many blessings to you.

I feel the whole hebrew thing, but our true history is built on paganism. Egyptians practice a form of paganism not to mention the rest of Africa.

Amun Ra is not where 'amen' came from. Amen is hebrew, for "let it be" or "so be it". You are confusing the origin of one word with a totally different word. You can debate if the hebrew word was DERIVED from amun ra, (obviously, hebrew is a new language in the grand scheme of things when talking about ancient Egypt) thats a different discussion. And, languages come from other languages. I'm a HUGE Ras Kass fan by the way.

Amen is a word that came to English from Latin, which got it from Greek, which got it from Aramaic, which got it from Hebrew (technically, Aramaic may have had it anyway, before it became the standard language of the Jewish people a few centuries before the time of Christ).

Yeah Rass might give some gay vibes to some people but the main thing is his music. His mannerisms or how he talks shouldn't keep anyone from listening to his music cause his shit is legit and Apollo Brown wouldn't do this project with him if he wasn't good. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Ras Kass is wrong...the origin of NT Christianity is Buddhism...the first Buddhists were Greeks from the Hellenistic period right before Christianity began Buddhism was popular in the region...

Love it when we repeat the same accusations about Christianity even from a talented "artist" like Rass. Thankfully my God is all powerful and knowing and the accusations are comical. Where are you going when you die abd how do you know 😧 and yes Nature of a Threat was tight before i learned how to research for myself.
