Pasta.........we never make the sauce from it water or reduce it. Also garlic is never add to the boiling water.......ig Italian wouldn't mind it but they won't call it....traditional .

Hi from Korea! I think the reason why he said 'traditional' is that in Korea, carbonara usually (i would say almost always) means thick creme pasta. I bet most Koreans haven't tried real carbonara. 😂 He didn't mean the one-pan recipe is traditional. Also, he said 정통(jungtong; authentic/legit), not 전통(juntong; traditional), in order to point out that this carbonara is not the one you know. The recipe may not be the same in Italia, sure, but this show is for Korean viewers who love to use garlics in every dish. There seems to be a bit of misunderstanding due to translation and cultural differences. Please don't mind and have a nice day
