I own both. Valentino V has been discontinued for almost 8 years now this smells 95% the same to me and this is coming from a fragrance collector like myself. Bad marketing and a crappy bottle killed this fragrance otherwise it would be doing business on par with 1 million.

Hi, Friend Kinda feeling lonely and wearing Black Afghano thinking about life, saw your video mate made me cheered up, thank you, much appreciate :) If you are into dark, mysterious scent try Faqat lil Rijal by Rasasi ( three different types of oud blended into one and a hint of rose playing in between ) its a scent for Batman who has a pet Black panther it will knock your balls off if you over spray, however the quality of the scent can be compared to any best niche houses in market and the best part is for the price its no brainer.

Rasasi when they do it right they do it right! I like the sexy metro sexual comment... yeah it is modern sexy damn good. I love Tasmeem although it has that cumin note that is more pronounce but to me it just adds a touch of sexy funkiness. Both are very reasonable and it is a crime not to have them or at least get a cheap decant. Nabeel & Al Rehab are pretty solid houses if you are ok with oils (seem more available) and paying next to nothing. Some may not have the longevity but it is a trade off for the price. Excellent review and I must say the hat makes that cat. Peace.

Enjoyed the review but Daarej is one of the few scrubbers of the hundreds of bottles I own. Okay it's not bad, but there's something like cumin or some other shit that gives it a sour undertone that I just don't like and want to scrub it off. Still, it's inexpensive on the discount market and it sure beats spending insane $$$ from an eBay bandit.

It never bothered me in Tasmeem (which I thought was a good fragrance) but it does in Dareej. To be honest, it's not listed in Dareej...but I noticed it big time. It may not actually be cumin, but my nose detects a sour/B.O. tone in the background. Anyway, that't what I smell and I wish others better luck with this fragrance. BTW, I haven't worn Tasmeem since last Summer so I'll have to bring it up from the Scent Armory (basement) soon. Look forward to your upcoming reviews... SOTN: Rasasi Oudh Al Misk

Yo...Valentino V was the BEST!!! I've got both Daarej and a half bottle of Valentino V...and I'd say Daarej is an 90% clone. The other 10% smells the way those SMARTIES Candies smell when you open the clear cellophane wrapper. You know those small classic powdery, sugary, round candies that come rolled up 15 in a cellophane that is twisted at the ends. Spray Valentino V on them Candies and there you go. I enjoy it very much, but prefer to wear it at night.
