Thanks for reviewing this! I’ve owned for about 6 months now and it always surprises me every time I where it. It’s on the borderline of being skanky get formal, and I get several hours of longevity. Rasasi is my favorite house!!

Super review Steven, Rasasi starts to get your attention and it's a good point, i own 17 Rasasi scents, love this house! I live in Thailand, a hot and humid country during all the year but the 2 oud based frags that i can wear here in day time and under high heat are Asrar Indonesia and my beloved YSL M7 Fresh...

This is high end Rasasi meant to grace those very high end middle eastern stores. Got this a few years ago, still very much a favorite. Think Dior Homme Sport 2012 with real oud funk.

I've been searching to see if anyone has reviewed this fragrance and you're one out of maybe 5, so very appreciative! I wonder if anyone else has associated this smell with Escentric Molecules 02? This smells like the natural version of that smell, whereas we know the EM02 is purely and intentionally synthetic. This fragrance is obviously more smooth and rich. The interplay of the grapefruit, bergamot, ginger, and vetiver enhances what might be the most gentle oud ever. It's long lasting without being overbearing. This is a very safe scent for the office. But this is posh. This only comes in 50mls. So this is more spring, summer, and even fall. It might push through the cold but the winter is over in the south lol. For those that are timid with oud, this is a great place to begin loving this note. If you want to seek another fragrance to see if you like this DNA, Escentric Molecules 02 is that fit, but might be too close to the price of this beautiful gem...so good luck shopping lol. Excellent content!

Here's the thing not all oud smells the same. Very very different depending on who made it, where the agarwood was grown and how old it is. Indonesian oud is not skanky or barnyard. Malaysian oud isn't either. Hindi oud is very skanky. My problem is most arabic perfumes use a synthetic Hindi note. Skanky isn't my thing!

in my opinion the most satisfying not disappointing Oud fragrance. is to contain the followings ( Sandalwood - Honey - Amber - Oud - Musk ) as the main top note opening made and base. without the fruits . maybe flowers. but keep fruits out of it .. the best Oud fragrance that doesn't disappoint. ( Mancera Exclusive - and Zegna Indonesian Oud - Initio Oud for greatness - Raghba - 24 hour Oud ) that is good projection and really good performance Oud fragrance . longevity and projection is very very important.

I wish oud wouldnt just appear as “oud” in perfumes and I really appreciate when they mention the country and the type of wood it was obtained from as oud can vary so much from one country/tree/distillation process to another. The best oud (for my liking) i’ve ever smelled are the ouds from Brunei and they have a quite a few types from there and they’re all amazing with no skank/barnyard/. Dont confuse them with Borneo oud as those can come from Indonesia or Malaysia

Steven this past winter with all the extra time we've had on our hands I've had the chance to check out quite a few middle eastern scents from kalamat black to swiss Arabian house oud and Arabian nite and a few rasasi as well and being a collector I'm very impressed and kinda bummed didn't score these sooner .But what does this resemble or remind you of ...when I hear fresh oud I think aqua de Parma oud intense if you know what I mean but anything like it ???# just a fan Johnny Gregorio south Boston

@akinfemigeorge66943 жыл бұрын
Try, Armani Eau di nuit oud, versace oud noir in that order. .
@Mughal.7863 жыл бұрын
I think you should go for Versace Oud Noir, if you're looking for a different take on Oud than the typical middle eastern rose-oud combos. Oud noir is going to be a masculine peppery oud, that dries down really smooth. You wont be disappointed
@sibyl3333 жыл бұрын
The Amber Oud Rouge is a clone of BR540 so don’t get that. I recommend Oud Palao which has an oud note you can smell- it is absolutely gorgeous. Gucci Intense Oud is nice, maybe Santal Royale by Guerlain, and when you want to splurge, Alexandria2 by Xerjoff! I would skip Shaghaf Oud.
@sibyl3333 жыл бұрын
