Thanks for your time with all the information that you said in your video. I listened to you very informative. I found you put it across very nice and it all made it a lot easier for me to work out what binoculars I have to get for night time and you where right about it all so now I am happy and I wish I had known about your channel sooner. Thanks again sir for that video it was what I was wanting and did I learn a lot. Have a nice day.

This was a great discussion. Thank you for making it public. I am a binocular astronomy fan with a 100mm SD BT and a pair of 8x42 ED. Both from Oberwerk. My binocular craze started about two years ago after spending almost 40 years squinting through various telescopes. It’s incredible how much more detail you can pick up via binocular summation. I am seeing targets that I have seen hundreds of times before as if it was the first time. This has revitalized my observing fun.

Thank you for a very informative video. I have a couple of great binoculars. My favorite for astronomy usage is the Swarovski SLC 15X56 W B. I know the lences are not as big as some of the monster astronomy binos but instead they are much lighter and perfect for both daytime use and nightime observing. Have you tried them?

I don't know anyone who has them but they sound really great.

For a telescope the exit pupil is calculated by dividing the focal length of the eyepiece by the focal ratio of the telescope

So do you use solar filters when you observe Mercury for day time viewing

Binoculars don’t come close to the detail you can get from a telescope with a binoviewer

But telescopes doesn't come close to the wide field you get with a good pair of binoculars. Also you can use them in daytime
