I love Rascal Flats. This is just one of their songs that ring true for me. But here is a TRUE STORY! I was married to a man who got on drugs. We were married for 13 years. Each day was worse than the day before. Being a Christian, I took my vows very seriously. But finally, I just couldn't any more. I couldn't simply get a divorce. I would have to "disappear", for the safety of me and my kids. I LITERALLY SOLD What I COULD< PACKED WHAT I COULDN"T, stopped to fill up on our way out of town. And ON THE RADIO< PLAYED THIS SONG! First time I ever heard it. I lost it. But I KNEW that I LOVED LIKE I SHOULD> BUT LIVED LIKE I SHOULDN"T! And life was about my children! Not about some man, who didn't take his vows or his children, seriously. So, I had no choice, but to MOVE ON! MRM Love your message. Love your outlook! Thank you for sharing! GBY

So glad you did that sis. It's takes strong will power and determination to past something like that. Especially if you're venturing into the unknown.

@@Modern-Renaissance-Man You are wise for your years! Yes. The "unknown". Its revealing when what you are facing is scarier than the unknown. But Children have an amazing affect on parents who love them. They are the greatest strength and strongest weakness. It was their life that gave me the courage to make that step. Besides, I KNEW that HE was on my side! And through HIM, all things are possible! HE DOES PROVIDE! God Bless you brother! And Yours!

My story is very close to yours. I heard the song and let it build and strengthen me to help me on the day I decided to leave. This song played on repeat for the first 2 hours of driving out of town, until the batteries in my cd walkman died. I still listen to it when I need strength.

One of my absolute favorite songs of all time but this live version doesn't even come close to the music video or the studio version in my opinion !! Still love the song and reaction thanks for doing it and God bless you and yours !!!

I don't like Rascal Flatts live. Gary embellishes great music too much and it ends up taking away from it.

Absolutely love this song. I had left college to take care of my mom and this spoke to me so much. I vowed that it'd be me one day moving on.

My ex and I moved quite a bit to many states and I enjoyed each place. but we always came home to CA. My two favorite places were Connecticut and Napperville, Il. This song brought back those memories. Cool song

That keyboard though. I only moved 2 counties away but it made a huge difference. At 58 I feel that I'm finally moving on. I'm learning to let go of things but it's not always easy. This song hit home with me.

Oh Stephen Kaymer (sp)... You're killing many of us with this song. It's beautiful, heart and gut wrenching in a healthy way. Having had to move on, I can't listen to this without crying. Thank you and TY for this choice. I thank God for the fact that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. My home town is about 6,000 miles away and the reason I left was painful for me and the family I left behind. It took me years to realize that it was the right thing for me. I go back and visit and my family visits me here in the US. I shudder to think what life would have been like had I stayed. I'm where I'm supposed to be. Thank you all for sharing your decisions to move on.

I saw them at The Farmer's Market in Kansas City when they released their first single 'Prayin' For Daylight' from their self titled album 'Rascal Flatts' and a crowd of less than 100 and I have loved them since. Great reaction.

I was in a mental health ward and we heard country music and thought no way. Then they played this song, and he didn't do so much verbal gymnastics, It's great but it was a simpler version and a couple of the young black men in our group just kept listening to it over and over again. Sometimes I think humans just pick ways to separate themselves,

You're so right, brother. I moved from 10k to 100k, then to Miami. I go back home to visit, but would never go back to my roots. Ever! I see people there that have never left the county, much less the state or country. I feel sorry for them, actually. My advice would be to break the cycle. Go outside the bubble. There is a big world to explore. GO!!!!

This group does a wonderful job on about everything they've done. there's one song id like to see you react to called " Why ". it's a bit personal but you having several Rascal Flatt songs you've reacted to made me remember it. i had a bitter argument with someone i called friend, i stopped by the house and he wouldn't answer the door. later that night he took his life and i can never forgive myself for that. Please react to Why for me

I have to say, Rascal Flatts is not my favorite band to watch live, prefer their studio work more. Hey Ty! Since I moved back to WV & can no longer drive, I have never wanted to travel somewhere else more than I do now. I would still want to come back home here, but just to get out there & see something different than the road to the local Wal-Mart, would be fantastic.

Gary does sound pretty darn good here, but the unnecessary vocal acrobatics take away from the song a little. Still a great song, and he sounds great but the studio version is indeed superior
