Yes always making satvik food good for progress of conscious mind,, if it's tamasik lagna means person is strong build do act tamasik when need arises.. If person is having satvik foods means that thamsik situation he can handle with purity and results are Beneficial or if thamsik act acted on tamasik nature and if hurts someone then karma will increase and there is bigger chance of having thamisik life for long until one day thamasik energy is dominating other two energies and person fail mentally as other two guns getting disturbed.. . So act wisely try to maintain all trigunas equally.
