iNeverHad Mercy I can recall a few very rare moments during the mid 90's when BET used to air Rap/Hip Hop videos by artists with genuine talent, I first saw and heard Ras Kass on Rap City. Mind blown!!! I was glued to the screen, hanging onto every word. You rarely heard west coast lyricists spit with that kind of visual and complex delivery, not since MC Ren or Cube and Scarface, etc. I didn't understand how someone that lyrically gifted wasn't as popular or on the radio charts at that time. Now, I see why.

Ras is a legend, don’t get it twisted. I cop all the shit he puts out and guests on. But what he cites here is mostly from arcane, alternative & obscure sources. Especially that “amen” comes from “Amun Ra” is way off base. “Amen” is of Hebrew origin, nothing to do with the Egyptian sun God.

I got no problem with what rass kass is saying I get what he is trying to say, about questioning and challenging those who are in authority, and we shouldn't believe everything someone tell us, and unfortunately in many cases there has been ignorance associated with history with religion ultimately and churches that settled here in the early America's i think there is a misunderstanding about what God is and what religion is, men that came with that brutality and horrifying havoc were man made killings, and it wasn't an act from God but from men, men that forcefully shoved down there way of believing in religion to conquer and rule, they use God's Word to there benefit, unfortunately many christian denominations, Roman catholic corruption in the Vatican, so called christian group like the mormons, jehovah's witness, kkk, have corrupted the bible, these has back fire to true Christians, all I'm saying is that religion is man made, God is relationship not religion..
