Gawd, I love Jim Bonfanti's drumming. He's like the perfect rock drummer, IMO, and distinctive. I voted for his nomination in The Classic Drummer Hall of Fame. R.I.P. Eric. This is the band that inspired me to learn guitar.

I didn't see one negative comment here. Awesome! I turned this on and I was immediately back in Junior High School again. I remember listening to songs like this and "Go All The Way" and then thinking about the different girls I wanted to dedicate these songs to. Lol! Basically whoever I had a crush on that day. Hard to believe that was over 40 years ago. Great performance here and still all the energy. Great Band! I miss these guys!

They were touted as the next Beatles in 1972. As a young musician in 1972, this was my group. Bought all of their albums even if they didn't sell that well. Carmen is great, won an Oscar and proved he was much more than a pop star. They'll go down as one of the Tremelo/ Shondels type greatness. Love 'em .

Really glad to see the look of enjoyment on Dave Smalley's (bass) face during the song. The guy goes from teen pop sensation in Cleveland to almost killed in Vietnam in the space of 2 years. (his chopper was downed and surrounded for about 16 hours). Then, he comes back, briefly sees success with the Raspberries before internal strife shoots that down, too.

Back in the early 70's, a girl in my junior high class had a copy of "Tiger Beat" magazine. Anybody remember that? They were having a contest called "Who is the foxiest Raspberry and why," or something like that. I remember reading it over her shoulder and teasing her about it. This band was IDOLIZED by young girls back then. They went bananas over them.

I wish the camera coordinators would zero in on who is playing the most exciting parts - like at the end when Jim is doing the drumroll -- the camera that is on Jim should be featured or whatever -- it should be transmitting to the recording. Hats off to your consistent musicality. The stupid critics and music industry "experts" never figured you out - they tried to put the Raspberries ("square peg" with huge versatility) into their convenient limited "round hole" with a one-track limited range. Shame on all of them! Your fan pool has only increased over the years. The younger gen is latching on! (I'm the same "vintage" as you all.) I really like this LIVE Raspberries album. I snagged it when first released 2017. Eric Carmen sounds amazing. tremendous vocals. However, I will never understand why it took 11-12y to be Released . . . that's just simply too long. Just think had their 1973 LIVE performance at Carnegie Hall Concert been recorded, how different things might have been for Raspberries. Infact, I recall reading that Jimmy Ienner was actually set to record their 1973 show at Carnegie hall, but lack of appropriate Permits and the "powers that be" strictly prohibited that. I also remember reading that Wally Bryson was going to "Push the Button" to record, but again was informed that wasn't allowed. Imagine a LIVE performance Raspberries Album BEFORE Cheap Trick's-Live at Budokan, before Kiss - Alive, before Frampton Comes-Alive etc etc . . . Imagine !! :)
