Yes. I’m not selling as much as I used to so I cut down my batch sizes.

How do you handle it if your lye solution isn’t hot enough to melt your hard butters?

99.9% of the time the lye water is hot enough. I think it gets up to over 200°. But there has been a time when my soap room was freezing so my oils and butters were really cold so it didn’t melt all the way. I poured some of the batter in my stainless steel pot and warmed it up very slowly and it was enough to melt the rest of them.
