You saved me. I was stuck on trying to install the right image with the right packages, thank you so much! You deserve a sub.

Perfect. Thank you, do you have a solution for installing Openwrt on Esxi Arm on Fling (raspberrypi5)?

Hey Van, Thanks for your video. I am located in China and I wonder if I can use Raspberry Pi 5 with Openwrt stuff as an addition to my home router (it's a local non customized ISP router). My main goal is when I connect to the home wifi, I want all the traffic to go through my OpenWRT vmess proxies automatically. Is that possible to achieve? I am not talking about entering the ip:port in advanced settings when I connect to wifi every new device.

would like to see a video on how to use/configure snort3 (IDS/IPS) on openwrt. There are lots of tutorials for pfsense.

Why can't my macbook pro use nmap to scan the IP of the Raspberry Pi 5 connected to the router via a network cable? Can’t see the IP address of Raspberry Pi 5 without a monitor?

It would be awesome if you could make someday a video explaining how to turn a RPI 5 into vpn router.

Thanks for the guide. Do you know how to enable RTC battery charging if you have the official battery? Or alternatively, do you know how to get wireguard to work without updating the clock manually? I have a kill-switch setup so no Internet/NTP access until the tunnel is up (which means I need to login to the web interface and sync the clock via the browser).
@VanTechCorner27 күн бұрын
Hey, did you managed to get the RTC up?
@semod861427 күн бұрын
@@VanTechCorner I've put that on pause as I got a bit confused by it all. The RPi 5 can apparently also charge the RTC battery so you have the option of either getting a cheap battery holder and a single-use CRxxxx battery or a more expensive (longer lasting?) rechargeable (no battery holder) one. I have no idea how to configure OpenWRT to use one or the other. I'm guessing it would be quite dangerous if I accidentally start charging a single-use battery. Alternatively, if I get a rechargeable battery, it would probably die very quickly if I can't figure out how to switch on the charging function in OpenWRT.

Please make a tutorial on how to install daloradius with coova-chilli in openwrt

I think they missed the mark on this one, but always interesting how powerful arm cpus have become.

Do you mean the USB 3.0 to 2.5GbE adapter?

Thank you for the video. Is it possible to use the SD card to install software in this version? The procedures I tried work, but if I restart the PI5, the settings are lost.

Hi, maybe something wrong with the microSD? I install OpenWrt on the microSD card and the setting is still there after reboot. May I know what file you used?

Snapshot bulds are not really considered 'Ofically Supported'; more like "We're still working on it, want to be a beta tester?"
@VanTechCorner3 ай бұрын
Yup, but to the people who have been trying to add support for this by sending commits, reviews and a lot of testings before it was merged, snapshot means a lot :)

Can you do configuration of openwrt using tailscale?

It's easy

When will you test SQM on it? Who cares if the Pi can handle full 1GB speeds without SQM. PI4 could easily do like 800mbps both ways IF you bought a good chipset for your NIC card and not that trash AX model

this thing as expensive as mini pc with ddr5 ram now....
@VanTechCorner8 ай бұрын
It is true, but the Raspberry Pi SBC can be used for other applications, where you need GPIO, DSI and CSI, etc. The x86 Mini PC can only used as a computer, it can't interface with sensors, LORA modules, etc
