Read up on the Raspberry Pi and have been intrigued by the project for a while. Recently I decided I needed to get separate hardware for my office and web browsing tasks so I could free up my rather expensive PC gaming rig to do nothing but game. At first I thought about just buying a cheap used Dell office PC but then I remembered the Raspberry Pi and I realized this was a perfect use for it... has all the features I could want for browsing and office tasks and it doesn't take up desk space like a typical PC does. Ordered a nice complete desktop kit with the Pi 4B - 4gb ram version and it came in the other day. Only issue is this... I've never used a Pi and have minimal experience tinkering with Linux based systems. Was cool to find your video on setting up a Pi. Much more simple than I expected it to be. Thanks for the great and helpful video!

That is because Raspberry or these KZbin people will not tell you that you have to format the SD card in a format that Windows will not provide. You have to download a scary 3rd party software in order to get FAT32 format on a 64+ GB card. THIS pisses me off so much I am returning the Pi and refusing to ever use it. If it's already formatted with a linux OS like Raspbian, you can't view that filesystem on Windows or Mac, or it's just blank and not initialised yet, in which case there's no partitions to view. A tool ike Balena Etcher should still be able to burn ISO images to it, or you can use Disk Utility to check if it already has some partitions. NOOBs does come with a readable partition though in which you can drop config files, but generally speaking you can't view a linux formatted boot card/disk on a mac or on windows.

That means your power supply is under-voltage. You need one that provides at least 2 amps. Check the adaptor plug, it will say something like 5v 500mA or similar, just find one that says 5v 2A or higher (higher amps, not higher voltage, that would be bad..)
