My Biggest Off-Roading Mistake

It was supposed to just be a simple off-roading afternoon with some of the guys from Donut Media but it turned into a treacherous recovery all thanks to me.
HUGEST shout out to Justin who went into full dad mode and got us all off the trail safely.

I don't know if i can speak for everyone, but I'm pretty sure most of us really enjoyed seeing Dipper videos as well as the Yaris. Just because it may not have been your main focus on the channel doesnt mean the 4runner wasnt just as enjoyed by us! Best of luck with the journey, and don't be afraid to take your time :)

sorry about dipper joey, its hard letting something go but it is just too much work to properly get going again, as a toyota technician i would recommend a 2nd gen tundra for you, great trucks with lots of power and can tow quite reliably, ill be here cheering you on throughout your journey!

rip dipper! actually shed a tear for him... got a beat up 2012 yaris as my first car and already in the past month its been there for me more than anything. the day we part will be a sad one for sure

For a tow vehicle I would go 1995-2005 chevy suburban 1500 route. I used one that had the 4x4 and it towed over 1500lbs through gravel to launch inflatable boats on a trailer. The off-road capabilities are actually pretty insane if you are also wiling to dump money into it, but even stock, which mine was is insane. I also got her stuck a few times in the gravel but that was because of my own negligence, but overall its cheap to buy cheap to fix and parts availability is crazy. Who wouldn't want double doors either? TFL off-road made a video on them Id look it up. Highly recommend it.

Sorry Am late Rip Dipper All good things come to an end. Atleast you enjoyed the time you had. towing vehicle for the Yaris can be really anything as long as it has decent power and reliability. My suggestion is like a navigator or suburban. Both are reliable V8 SUVs. I personally have a 01 navigator and it’s great. Air ride and the 5.4 Intech not triton V8 tows well and is reliable. If you want to go the truck route you can’t really go wrong as long as you stay away from infamous motors and transmissions. If you want to stick with Toyota then you can’t really go wrong.

Get a 100 series land cruiser! 1998-1999 still very mechanical simple and would be able to tow the yaris. While still getting the old toyota feel + decent reliability.
