I think the idea was to give as many people as possible the opportunity to make something that they could compete in. Let's say there were 20 classes total. How many cars would actually have a chance of accomplishing anything? Here, you can pick some really obscure and relatively low cost category and make it interesting.
@CrashTestCatКүн бұрын
Also, high downforce cars versus low downforce cars have majorly different characteristics. Low downforce low power cars react in turns way differently than even low power but high downforce cars, let alone high power on top of that. Don't limit yourself to one platform, try everything you can.

Well the speed is the average over 1 mile (and not the first mile to give you a starting area) if your potato bike can do 2 miles on salt, that deserves an award. 👍

its four wheel drive?
@Darkmanhehe2 күн бұрын
uhhh im confused wdym all wheel drive???
@RassoolRacing2 күн бұрын
All wheel drive is used in Audis, Subarus, and loads of sedans and crossovers. Like 4wd, it powers all 4 wheels, but it can spin wheels at different speeds and with different amounts of power. This makes it less capable for off-roading than 4wd, but it's great for grip on pavement and on track.

How should an amateur start at track when there are pros? Or is there like trackdays for noobies?
@RassoolRacing2 күн бұрын
They'll usually divide the day into sessions based on experience, but the problem is the only thing they have to go on is laptime, so if you're an amateur in a GTR, you'll also be paired with more experienced drivers in slower cars.

It's not the speed that kills you, it's the suddenly becoming stationary. Also most low HP cars that go to track also tend to have less crash safety, so I don't know what point you're trying to make.
