My Step-Dad would make this dish when I was younger. But I was never interested in learning then. After he and my mother divorced I always wish I knew how he made it. Now I could try to make my own. All the dishes Mokko makes reminds me of my childhood. It's great! Thank You for posting!

In Canada, the green plantains start to rot before they ripe; very unusual. Matt, when you return to Canada, maybe you can find some vanilla seeds for Mokko to plant; organic. The vanilla flavouring he showed to you; it's artificially drawn chemically from certain wood: vanillin. Best regards. Ah so it go.
