Christmas time everybody uses sorrel you know...!
Just in time for the holidays, this the the ultimate guide to making sorrel juice in the ital Rasta way. Matthew rolls to Morant Bay, Jamaica to pick up some fresh sorrel flower, Mokko blazes multiple spliffs and teaches us the technique. Beware exploding bottles if you're making your own....
Bless up and Happy Holidays!

Sorrel is an iconic Christmas drink in the Caribbean. It's a tart, flavorful, spice-infused "iced tea". Sometimes it's brewed with sugar and yeast and left to foment for weeks to make a strong liquor. It has a very unique flavor. I'm tempted to say it tastes like cranberry and strawberry combined but even that wouldn't be an accurate description of its taste.

That woman has some 'crisp, golden sales tactics.' Matthew came for Sorrel then he walked away with Bananas "oh yes I might get hungry later, right?" He agrees with the sales lady and adds the unexpected Bananas! Then sum1 random recommends Ginger for Ginger beer, so that too gets added! I love these videos, they just have a happy well put together vibe!

I made some sorrel at Christmas 1998, put in the fridge and forgot about it till last week. I forgot all about it. i opened it and it smelled like my grandmothers recipe. Now i know how she made it and i can't believe how well it kept. This year I'm making Sorrel wine. See you in 2021. If you attempt this don't forget to strain it off. What was in the bottom scared the life out of me.
