listen at the end of the day what you have to remember is being PRO black does not MEAN Anti white. that is far from what the order and what rastafari teaches.. HOWEVER one has to remember that root of rastafari and the movement is about the upliftment of an OPPRESSED people. Rasta does not discriminate nor should it ever and if the idrin is of Caucasian decent but chooses ( genuinely to walk the the rout of rastafaI then let him for he is contributing to the upliftment of InI sons and daughters thus in the long run shall contribute to man kind. happy kwanza !! blessed loVe

Kaio Jackworld Marcus Garvey chose Ras Tafari Makonnen as a symbol of God that the black man could relate to, admitting Tafari was not literally God/Jah. Thus the spirit of Rastafari and it's prophet Marcus Garvey is one of seeing Jah in your own image, to uplift and empower yourself, to make yourself assume your divinity, love, compassion, inner peace and freedom. Furthermore, the symbol of Africa as the birthplace of humanity represents the spiritual birthplace of the One Life we all share. This present moment is Africa and the consciousness observing is Jah Rastafari.

Rasta still is a pro black movement it's only white people who try to change the narrative to fit in. H.I.M. was a pan African and everything he did was for Africa. He invited black people who were the decendents of slaves to come back to Africa not whites.......

@bobbodread to me, your statement truly shows a graso of the true meaning of Rastafari.To many Rastas worry about whose "real" or "fake". Let Jah decide that , and let InI do Jah works and bask in his comfort and love. Bless up.

I'm an Ethiopian with locks....thanks for the post, i just needed an easy way to wrap my locks against the harsh winter cold...u nah haffi dread to be rasta and vice versa, i think its funny some ppl are gettin their wraps all in a knot bout this but its probably due to the name of the video...but no RASTA created turban, even Ethio-Orthodox monks wore turban for centuries....so JUDGE NOT what is on a man's head but what is in a man's heart! Jah Bless!

its amazing how u did it .. don pay attention to the negativity and the bashing.. ive been looking for the meaning to wrap my locks and while doing so i was interested to know how to wrap it as well . i like your method . others that are again should instead learn to appreciate the different ways of accomplishing a goal to have your locks wrapped in the first place to me having it wrapped is more important than how i wrap it . its the meaning and the symbol that matters . give thanks. JAH!

I left maybe 5 comments ever on youtube. But you made me leave a comment. I come from Bosnia & I have survived REAL war & seen things no1 should ever see. And that is why it HURTS me to see ppl fight each other. I know first hand that leads to only death & destruction. So please ppl we need to stop this wicked cycle of prejudice & Unite. Bobo's arent the only ones that wear a turban. And seriously, I mean no disrespect, I just don't think that judging this person is the right thing to do.

Anyone that says you can not do anything because them a rasta is not a rasta... to be a rasta you must first be able to reason.. do not say for example I and I don't listen to reggae because I and I bobo.... that's not reasoning.... rasta do not separate wether them be nyabhingi, bobo, 12 tribe or orthodox...

@jahluva200016 жыл бұрын
Why are people hating? This young man chooses to express himself spiritualy thorugh the interpretation of Rasta. And chooses to wear a turban to further express that, or maybe just for comfort. Just cause, he may or may not be a devout, BOBO Rasta doesn't mean, he does not praise The Most high. There are devout, Orthadox, very strict Jews, who wear yamakas. But spirituality is not on a sliding scale. Stop passing judgement on him, and work on your own relationship with your God. Jah BLess!

dear people who like to hate other people because of their skin colour, isn't the whole rastafari culture about love? did I misunderstand something? in my opinion we should all just calm down and try to get along with each other. racism isn't the right way, it doesn't matter if you're black or white. Jah loves all his creations - remember that.

A rastaman doesnt follow others he thinks for himself nor does he care too tuff for what others say bout him. But you can't tell me a rastaman can't have a likkle style, or be inspired or admire something..A rastaman can make a youtube video teaching his bredren a headwrap INSPIRED by bobo shanti an USED out here in babylon as a symbol of respect for the most high which would be including the bobo shanti and therefore giving the utmost respect and blessings no baldhead gunna gain froma rasta vid
