Y'all, this is isn't just freakin' STELLAR animation, it's also a dead on portrayal of Hunter's relationship with Belos and how it developed and changed in canon. Not all artists can juggle both animating and having good enough knowledge of the characters to make their animations really pop. (Though most of them do. It's just the weird volcoid ones that for me are just like... what?) Awesome! Love this!

Idk how to describe it but the pencil on paper aesthetic of the style really helps convey the mental breakdown energy of the song and hunters state of mind. I also really liked some of the transitions, like the picture frame falling in front of the emperor and the golden guard as they transition into belos and hunter without their masks. And the key falling in front of belos face as it shifts into what he looked like in other stages of his life. And the chorus set to hunter walking across the screen where with each "i loved you" it shows him wearing a new piece of the golden guard uniform. Also the eclipse fight looks great. Ive watched this 10 times now

I just really liked that brush LMAO it came out well but it was SUPER time consuming to do the shading, hopefully i figure out an easier way to get that effect without spending 8 hours on it LMAO

WOW, this animatic is stunning! The standout scenes for me are Hunter's mask breaking and Belos flashing between Philip behind the key. It portrays Hunter's view on his relationship with Belos all the way through and shows how truly conflicted he feels. It's *so* good omfg

TGIS US SO FYCKING PHENOMENAL I NEED TO WATCH IT SO MANY MORE TIMES TO GET EVERYTHING BUT HERE IS SOME THINGS I LOVED (said as if I didn’t love all of it) The transition between younger Belos and one of the original hunter and Belos showing Hunter his fake memories being in a frame like all the memories in hollow mind showing how long this charade of assholery and murder has gone on as if he’s proud of it or something And when Hunter gives Belos the key for a split second it becomes Philip’s face Edit: IT BECOMES HIS FACE AS THE KEY SWINGS OH MY GOSH I ADORE THAT Hunter during the three “I loved yous” transitioning more and more into his golden guard persona

This is absolutely AMAZING! The whole thing is stunning and the movement between 0:47 and 0:59 is AWESOME and super pleasing to look at! The fight scene with Amity and the transition with the key and Belos/Philip are both super well animated! Oh my GOD this was GORGEOUS. The imagery was perfect, the art was lovely, Hunter’s emotions were portrayed wonderfully. I especially loved the scientists and atheists, the glitching between Hunter and Caleb, and the key going across Belos’ face and switching between him and Philip. Wonderful!!

The use of line weight is amazing the way you can see how the art style for the characters become more stylized and consistent is really nice, I do also love the pencily style used throughout the whole video, and the transitions are so good I keep finding myself going frame by frame to see em and wow. Man I don't think I ever commented on here. This is one of my favorite owl house animatics and I know other people have commented before but the way you do transitions and compositions is REALLY good. Some of my favorite parts are the way the golden guard mask is tossed and shattered at the 30 second mark and the sequence of hunter putting on his uniform at the 45 second mark, but all of it is really good. I love your art style. Thank you for sharing this with us!
