7:28 "who is this guy?" WALTER GIARDINO, one of the greatest guitarrists from Argentina and the rest of America! and their singer (Adrian Barilari) didn't use any technology, his voice is completely natural. As a south american who loves Metal I suggest you react to their "rivals" ALMAFUERTE... I think "Memoria de Siglos" would be a great way to start with them, their style took a lot of influence from Metallica.

This is my all time favorite song it's about a powerful wizard that was always alone with only the moon as his friend but one while walking on his forest he crossed paths with a fairy and they both fell in love. But the ever present Evil couldn't stand their love so Evil struck down the fairy and put her to sleep. Since then the wizard spent all his life trying to revert the conjure while living with only his memories of her.

Tiene una carga politica que ni Spinetta tiene (con todo el respeto que se merece LAS, porq tmb me gusta) y eso lo hace una banda de respetar porque les hace abrir el bocho a muchos pibes. It tells the story of a magician Who one day in his enchanted forest wept Because despite his magic He had not been able to find love The moon, his only friend Gave him strength to bear All the pain she felt Because of his long loneliness He knew very well that in his existence He should never leave his destiny If someone has to love you, you'll already know it You will only have to know how to recognize it It was in an afternoon that the magician Strolling in the forest his eyes crossed With the sweetest look That in all his life he ever knew From that very moment The fairy and the magician wanted to be Alone together in the forest Loving each other always and everywhere And the evil that always existed, could not stand it To see so much happiness between two beings And with his hatred he attacked, until the fairy fell In that fatal dream of not feeling In his castle he spent The magician spent his nights searching for the power That would give back to his fairy His love, his gaze so sweet of yesterday And he has not stopped since then Searching for a way to get back The woman who that day In the middle of the forest she could finally love And today he knows what love is, and that he will have Strength to endure that spell He knows that one day he'll see his sweet fairy arrive And forever with him she will stay

You are quite right with the Deep Purple and Yngwie Malmsteen's influences (Rata Blanca >> White Rat >> Whitesnake, etc.) Singer Barilari's voice is opera trained natural, not falsettto). The tune is from late '80s and the production was in june 1989. I directed the video. Kindest regards.

Great reaction. I'm so pleased. This band always did dungeons and dragon fantasy themes. There is also a version with Yngwie Malmsteen, but the solo is made with keyboards. The last great song from this band was "El Reino Olvidado" (2008) (the forgotten kingdom). If you like metal with fantasy themes, and really catchy songs, you should totally watch "When the enemy's close", by Triddana. There is also an italian-folk Argentinian metal band named Tersivel, with a fun, catchy song named "Cruzat Beer House Song". That one is so underground that non even Argentinians know it. On antoher, entirely different style, when you say you were not prepared to it, it came to my mind a song that you are totally not prepared for it, named "Antiguo dueño de las flechas", by Tonolec.

Walter Giardino on guitar and Adrian Barilari singing. That was his natural voice, by the way. The video was cheezy as hell, but still...

What a Great Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band from Argentina. All of them are great musicians and great vocalist as well. This song is got to be their Anthem featuring a notorious and celestial guitar solo by the virtosuo Walter Giardino who resembles the Style of the legendary Yngwie Malmsteen.
