The beginning portion of this song made me tear up. My girlfriend, Lise took her life on November 3rd this year. She was from Fontainebleau and we loved each other. I don’t know what tormented her but when we would spend time, it was magical and we would watch this movie because it was the only Disney/Pixar movie she liked. There are few things in this world more enjoyable than being floored by a movie from which you expected little. Worn out from chasing my toddler around years ago, we watched this beauty together after saving it on the DVR for months after recording it on a whim from one of the movie channels. I could not believe the quality and depth of what I was watching. The look on Ego's face as he tastes the dish, it just hits universally. Several years later, I rode Remy's ride at Epcot and actually choked up a little. Not everyone can cook, and not everyone can make a great movie, but a great film can knock you on your ass. Anyone else wish they could live in a world that this soundtrack accompanies? Yes, I know I could simply go to Paris (and wouldn't that be something?), but I mean specifically _Pixar_ Paris, with this glorious, romantic, hopeful music swelling all around you. I dunno, man. Ratatouille has become my favorite movie since quarantine last year and now I'm obsessed- _Send help-_ EDIT: Just wanted to come back here real quick to say that I _might_ be going to Paris next summer!! Key word is "might," of course, but my family and I are already planning my potential trip! I feel nervous about the prospect of visiting a new country with an entirely different language and culture all on my own (as well as finding time in-between my classes, and also possibly finding a job over there), but my fears aside, I also feel so happy that my dream of visiting France might actually be possible!! :D EDIT No. 2: Alrighty, so the Paris trip didn't work out this year. But... someday. Someday, I'll get to France, even if it's the last thing I do. :)

Ratatouille is by far the best movie I have ever seen by Pixar! Being a hotel employee , I am working as a executive for Front office department, I changed all lobby music to Pixar BGM and the playlist starts from Ratatouille then Up movie BGM and so on so on! It has always been my dream to work in a hotel in France or any other hotel in Europe and a single hasn't passed me dreaming and trying to get in one ! I was lucky enough to visit Paris last year and it was unforgettable I've been trying to replicate and recall the mentality and emotions I felt when I was there and this video has been on repeat. If I listen to this and close my eyes I am almost transported instantly back to the small side streets, the cobblestone paths along the Seine, and the glow of the city at dusk. Watching this video as an adult made me realise something: Normal people will live and die to get good reviews for their restaurants. They think their entire life effort should be determined by a single person in that single moment. But people like Marco Pierre proved otherwise when he returned the Michelin stars, one of the highest titles a chef can have (and he had 3). He said "I was being judged by people who had less knowledge than me, so what was it truly worth? I gave Michelin inspectors too much respect, and I belittled myself. I had three options: I could be a prisoner of my world and continue to work six days a week, I could live a lie and charge high prices and not be behind the stove or I could give my stars back, spend time with my children and re-invent myself" What a giga-chad. Gave me a whole new look about this film. Imagine if Remy rejected Anton Ego's praise...

i’ve been going to disney world ever since i was little. and every time i’ve been, it was always with my grandma. i remember we’d always stop in the france pavilion at epcot just to sit and eat ice cream while staring at the lagoon. sadly, she passed away in 2020 and i haven’t been to disney since. but my birthday is coming up and i’ve decided i will make a trip to epcot just to go to the france pavilion and eat ice cream while staring into the lagoon in remembrance of her.

I think the reason why we love these films as kids is because there so outlandish. Could you imagine seeing rats ride books and makeshift pots for boats down a river? The art style, the way they talk, the way everything comes together is beautiful for kids to watch. La ratauille will always he my favorite restaurant and movie
