***** I think the point is that the stuff in his videos is just so... _odd_ compared to what most people would put in. The animations appear to be badly rendered, yet follow what happens in the world surprisingly well. The sentences the characters use are downright unnerving in that they use words that people don't usually use in conversation, yet they're not incorrect. The thing is it seems all the effort went into the detail. Even the overall plot makes a weird sort of sense. Geez, simply describing it in a sane manner is starting to hurt my brain.
@xiphosura4138 жыл бұрын
***** It may seem a bit silly, but I think half the point is to use the current, cruddy models, in fact, his older videos show it all used to be hand-drawn, which was even worse in my opinion.
@frostedflakes59397 жыл бұрын
the 3d models are obviously a joke. He made these for some confusing and wonderful reason. Because the animation is horrid, but the story makes us watch more. But the animation helps too, because I wouldnt be watching these, a lot of people wouldnt be if it didnt have this cooky animation. THE CREATOR IS SO. DAMN. SMART.

I always figured LKJ was part of Ratboy's mind. Because in the Minecraft series, Ratboy is playing one of LKJ's songs, even though it was a dream. Not to mention he DID say "You are mine!" I must say not too long ago I saw Little King John as nothing but a self-assured coward. However, over the past couple episodes I have found that he may not be all bad. Yes, it still does seem that from time to time he falls victim overly-excessive pride and self confidence (hubris if you will), making him seem to be a social leper by definition of humanity. Though, as he has grown I have realised that Little King John is more human than any of us, he may have his flaws but at the end of the day all he wants is kingdom where people can be happy. I do very much hope to see his further development as the series progresses.

Weeeeell, if you remember, LKJ is part of the RBG subconcious. Perhaps the flood was a way to try to erease him, but he survived and now they are becoming a whole. Great stuff. I found this episode fairly interesting. More imagery than words. Little King John may definitely be having a change of heart as he let those people on board despite their ugly disfigurements. The reappearance of The Ratboy Genius I find great. Not only are they two parallel characters. Two contrasting opposite characters.. but I feel it goes deeper. Deeper than Little King John being just a figure of his dreams. I believe in theory, that Little King John is part of The Ratboy Genius. Almost like his inner-demon. The inner evil of The Ratboy Genius. I won't say much, but I suspect that ending to the episode signifies that perhaps The RBG is haunted by his inner demon, and may be on his way to facing it. He does look like he is in space. Prehaps it goes beyond his own mind, and Little King John exists in another Planet. Keen to find out!

Sorry for pushing Susan Sontag here but what I really love about this series is its direct aesthetic appeal - I neither see the need for interpretations, nor the advantages of such. The works are so well composed on so many level, the artist is working through so many different media and alluding to so many traditions at once that I honestly find each frame, each spoken line, each string of melody, absolutely unsettling, intelligent and beautiful. I'd much rather discuss how responses on an intuitive level than an intellectual when it comes to RBG and LKJ. By the way, I just have to add how genuinely thankful I am that LKJ is receiving his own series now, building further upon his already immensely interesting character. I hope it'll continue and extend into an elaborate saga - but that being said, this is already more than I could have dreamed of in a youtube series. Ryan Dorin is youtube's leading avantgardist.

I wonder if the hand streching thing is a representation of a sore hand or RBG is actually streching like LKJ. What if this story tells how LKJ ended up changing after the flood, being alone and loosing almost everything he had seems to had made him change, he even allowed survivors of the flood on his ship instead of ignoring them. I ended up a bit surprised when LKJ helped them in exchange of nothing (unless some offscreen stuff happened but I doubt it). What if this made LKJ change his heart and made him become RBG (maybe his old identity (LKJ) is still alive in his subconcious and that's why it haunted him back once, but if that's the case then why was RBG 2D at the begining, maybe when LKJ decided to change he turned into 2D but that woudln't make a lot of sense). Maybe they are indeed two different people and in the RBG land you can phisycally access dreams. Maybe the stretching thing is something everyone from RBJ and LKJ's race can do and Rat Boy just started to learn how to do it. However, why did Rat Boy got a 5th finger and how will this influence the story (I guess it will be relevant). Sorry for the long post, but I can't avoid especulating on what will happen next. I'm looking foward to see how this will end. I guess a lot of this things will make sense at the end of the story.

icetailgreg I mean, they could be different people, or they can be the same person and RBG and his friend can physically interact with dreams (Summer Solstice had to be rescued from LKJ and she seems to be the same Summer Solstice from before and after that story, not an alternate one created by Rat Boy's dream). We had even seen Happyman outside of his dreams (he started in 2D) and inside it. Now I wonder how dreams work in the Rat Boy Kingdom.
