Nothing against you, this is certainly impressive in it's own right, but i yearn for the day i get to see an actual speedrun of this game (or any ratchet game) on here, and not just "let's just skip the entire game without actually playing it"

the core conceit of speedrunning games like this is to find out the minimal amount of things necessary to complete it lol. i can show you a glitchless run of this game and also tell you that it's a lot less interesting to run and watch compared to what you're seeing in this vid

I mean the point of speedrunning is to go as fast as possible so like, of course that doing the least amount of things tends to be the fastest way to going about which is the objective. There's also categories that don't allow glitches or out of bounds but, it's all about going fast.

@@SockLove yeah, I know. but at some point I have to ask what's the point in playing a game when you're just voiding out within 2 minutes and skip everything the game has to offer. It's certainly fast yes, and while it certainly takes skill, there's very little of value gained doing it that way.

@@suibom not really. for me speed running is about playing the game as quickly and skillful as possible. But that's the thing, it's about "playing the game'. Can you really call it gameplay, when you spend less than 5 minutes overall game time in the game? You may think skillfulpy optimizing movement and aim is boring, but I couldn't disagree less The only reason I usually don't watch those, is because I'm missing the usual commentary provided by the runners here.

@@thechatteringclown the big issue, no offense, is that nobody really wants to run the games no oob as it takes away most of what actually makes the run interesting. besides, if you wanna see more of the game there are completionist categories like AGB and 100% (or an equivalent), they still have lots of crazy oobs and stuff but they show more of what's in the game at least
