Just make a zone, create some fish processing factories, assembling, even if it is cycles, fruit processing Industries, just start with small industries that can attract and spur the spirit of industrialisation in Kisumu.

What I mean is, Kisumu is our third City in Kenya. Therefore, efforts should be put in place to accelerate its development. I know kisumu has cool Suburbs but if more efforts are not put in place, it is falling behind. And if we get in a comfort zone because we have 3 or 5 industries, we are loosing it.

A very tribal man... Tell me how many factories are there in Eldoret or nakuru to compare with kisumu.. In Eldoret you have Rayply, Kenit, Rivertex, Pembe na KCC pekee.... Do you know how many factories are in Kisumu??

Your analysis is cheap. Kisumu has somany institution, Ramogi technical, Tom Mboya labour collage, Kisumu poly, Uzima university, Railway training institute etc. There are very huge industries towards Kibos. Nakuru might be overtaken by Kisii..
@rang3688 Жыл бұрын
I'm not from Kisumu, but you visited and confined yourself to one building while ranting about industries. Kisumu boasts an industrial area, and although it may not match Nakuru's size in square meters, it surpasses Eldoret in size and extends far beyond the CBD. Imagine some sitting in KICC and complaining that Nairobi has no industrial area.
@KimsTvKe Жыл бұрын
No, I tried to find one and failed. There were two major factories that had stopped operation. But maybe someone will direct otherwise. But truth, on manufacturing Kisumu is still way behind.
@rang3688 Жыл бұрын
@@KimsTvKe There are numerous industries in Kisumu. It's advisable to have a local guide you to form an informed opinion. Additionally, did you have the chance to visit the ship-making industry, the second only in Kenya? Unlike Mombasa, this industry in Kisumu has successfully constructed a real ship 🚢, the first ship made in Kenya.

Did you even visit kisumu breweries,Any sugar industry,Keda tiles,cement factories and many more when in kisumu to deduce that there are no industries?
@KimsTvKe Жыл бұрын
@@kevinochieng6458 am being comparative here. Look at the number of industries in Eldoret for now, Nakuru and Thika. Then in Kisumu even Spectre closed shop. Sugar factories, are in the region but not forming an industrial cluster zone in the city. Kibos, Chemilil, Muhoroni. What I mean is, Kisumu needs to get something that can accelerate its growth. And it is true, if it will continue lacking such, towns like Eldoret and are coming so fast. Nakuru is enchored on tourism and manufacturing, Eldoret firmly on Agriculture and now Manufacturing. Am not hating on Kisumu, but it is falling behind. If you know this towns then you will agree.

How many streets are in Nakuru Cbd and Eldoret. Actually the most congested and smallest CBD is Eldoret. Kisumu is the third largest town your opinion is not important. Kisumu has harbour, airport, railway.... Eldoret railway is dysfunctional it doesnt have harbour.

we know you want likes and comments, you wont get them by doing lazy and poor analysis, a vlogger who just portrays his ignorance. for your information , the place you are showing us is just CBD1, Kisumu has 4CBDs whose boundaries is at kachok flyover along the kisumu day highway unto Patel junction. The CBD is even spread to Mililani. Kondele, mamboleo and nyamasaria may act as other CBDs yet they are classified as growth zones. in your poor analysis you are just seeng three industries in kisumu.. jesus.. do you know where the industrias areas of kisumu are (Awasi, kano korowe, kibos and kamas). if you want to succeed in this work. stop being tribal.. otherwise a very poor analysis.
